Just a follow up ... CRAZY awesome and challenging day for this old guy. The front fork 1/2 drop was very noticeable. I didn't like it when I was at speed, but for the tight stuff I felt more in control. I might suggest riders check this out. I was able to conquer a few new things today and impressed the young gas crowd, I think.
@KNKLHEAD Nice! I'm in southeast Pa near KOP. Currently laid up after a wreck. Will probably be till the beginning of the year before I can ride again.
Our emoto races at Jday Offroad are not growing too much. We run them back to back with pitbikes. After 5 rounds, emotos have only maxed at like 15 entries where pitbikes have maxed at 30
@@andrewacton5885 15 entries is good! They're still very new bikes. It will definitely become more popular at events like these. The Red Bull TKOs exploded from its first year in sign ups!
@Tazdeviloo7 yeah it's seperate. We started this year with Saturdays. one 20 min +1 lap race for emotos, with 2 classes, stock and mod. Stock is 60v max, stock motor and controller and 19" max tire. Mod is any other bike that doesn't meet stock reqs. We run them on a shorted version of Sunday's GP loop. Our last two are 10/19 and 11/2, both in Massachusetts. My talaria has DNFd two of them so far. Rear wheel bearings blew out last race and my counter shaft snapped off at another.
@@andrewacton5885 I'll definitely check it out. Fingers crossed, but I made it 7 hare scrambles so far with nothing broken on my Ultra. E-motos do make a compromise on durability to keep the weight and cost down. The Ultra is as light as it gets while still using standard dirt bike parts basically and even then the suspension is a little small for motocross type stuff. I definitely want to respring my shock at least before a J-Day, they look motocrossy
@Tazdeviloo7 I've broken the crossmember on the swingarm and had to weld a fat aluminum plate over it, shattered the gearbox casing from throwing the chain, bent the rear axle, had the front sprocket break off, had a rear wheel bearing blow out, even after replacing all the bearings once already. I've added pegs, long rear fender, ktm 85 front end, titanium rear axle, chain block, and 54 tooth sprocket. I also mic'd the linkage wishbone and added real oil seals to the linkage bearings. Oem has no oil seals, bearings rust out immediately. These bikes aren't meant to be riden hard lol
It's mostly positive. You have to use your horn or yell to pass instead rev bombing. Only thing controversial is the hole shots, some clubs do a handicap like starting with your hand on visor

Ive never rode bikes before really just something I’ve wanted to do my whole life. My people in aus I’ve talked haven’t even heard of electric bikes before which is a shame. It’s just interesting to hear about the moto community and if people are excepting of electric in those races. I bet there has been a gradual increase in emotos in those races.

The e-moto is a separate race? I want to try a J-Day soon. I've done most of the NETRA hare scrambles this year, but an ⚡ only race sounds interesting

Do you think it is possible to put a Beta headlight on the ultra bee, it would look soo good
You really could use any style headlight, you just got to figure out the wiring
