You do know dogs respond better to higher pitched happier tones. It's been proven that many dogs behaved and listen better to women instead of men with the same training and techniques used because the deeper broader made them receptive or less submissive to the commands. If you want a happier and willfully responsive dog baby type talk will work better then the baron male voice will... Besides, If you are this deeply bothered then just keep scrolling, it's simple as that
It’s not cringe okaY? It’s called being a good dog owner if you didn’t know and another thing people will talk to their dogs a lot and play with them. My point is that ITS NOT CRINGE! 😅
when you have a dog this smart it's absolutely impossible not to talk to them constantly like this no matter what you're doing, heelers are genuinely always listening to what you say and understand language in an amazing way
My dog grew up on a tractor trailer with me driving long haul. He listened to the GPS actively. Whenever it said "Take the Exit on the Right" he knew he was probably going to be able to get out and go for a run. He also listened for "destination on the (right/left)" any time my dogs hear DESTINATION they know they're gonna get out and they go nuts.
Had a red heeler and she had her humans well trained. My husband's cousin would come to the house and she would greet him at the door, walk him thru to the back door and go play stick for 20 minutes or so if I was still upstairs. If I was downstairs, she'd ask permission to go play with her Uncle Duane. Fawn also spoke-she could say 'outside' and 'I love you', clearly and distinctly. People didn't believe it until she did it in front of them. Miss that crazy dog! She certainly set the bar high for all the dogs that have followed.
@@DadsCommentary Why would you park your truck in the garage? I mean, it's a huge truck taking up valuable shop space. Pickups are meant for work, not mall crawling.
I really want one but my parents say no because they don’t think I will exercise him enough but I’m never inside I’m always fishing hunting going on runs or hiking I think that’s plenty of active events well except for fishing but I’m pretty active and I need a dog like this do you have any tips? And can you give me some reasons to convince them.
Best breed ever. I volunteer for the ACDRA, and I am an utter failure. Three fosters, three failures post my first ACD. Sad note, they will always be forever smart than me.
Had 2 acds lost my 15 year old boy last year, I still think about him every day, absolutely fantastic breed, if you are not good with dogs acds will wipe the floor with you
My old blue heeler would open all the doors that had that kind of handle. He would open the pantry and took out a loaf of bread or a pack or tortillas and take them in the back yard. He wouldn't eat them, but the packages would have holes in them.
My throwback Pomeranian does that. I have 4 vehicles so I tell him black truck or white truck or jeep and he goes to that one. He likes the black truck best.
Lol! My dog Roxy opens that type of door handle that you have. I try and work outside at my grandmother house and I can see the door handle moving and then the door opens up and all of the dogs looking at me through the screen door. My Roxy is a bigger dog so it’s easier to reach up that high. 🎄PS: I have a Australian cattle dog her name is Jolene and she is a smart girl. She look just like your dog. I love how she has to follow me everywhere I go.
I had a poodle mix that I used to open a door with a handle like this. One day I caught her teaching her son when he got big enough. She was opening it, swinging the door open and then closing it and waiting for him to try😅
My blue heeler is the EXACT same way! He understands that when I say " we gotta go to the boys to school " we are going out the garage door and into mommy's car! I love this breed. And my blue heeler picks up on so many other words. This is just so cute!
I have a Heeler Border Collie mix and she does the same thing. If I reach for her leash she immediately knows to follow me outside otherwise she avoids our garage like the plague. Then when we return I don't even need to walk her inside. She instantly goes straight to the spot we put her leash on and then stops so we can remove it before she carries on about her business 😅
I have a female heeler that looks very similar. We talk to her as if she is human. But emphasize both force and pitch. It’s also no myth that these dogs learn so fast that you don’t realize you taught them to do something. It took me maybe 15 seconds to teach her to jump hurdles, two throws to catch frisbees. Things like that are a joke to these dogs. By 6 months old she was as smart as my labs at 2 years. But… the two hardest things to teach her was to not mouth when playing. No biting but mouthing. She now knows when it’s cool playing and when it’s not cool. The other was heel nipping. But even then she now knows that I allow it in the mornings when I first go out only. We turned it into a game and I’m the only one she now does it with. Other dogs are obviously intelligent. But heelers are smart with ease. Many of the signs are very subtle as they do intelligent things naturally all day long. I’ve even had her bring me a folded 5 dollar bill out of know here. Walked up and put it into my hand. We must have dropped It somewhere. She was about 4 months old at the time. She is also hyper in-tuned to surroundings, people and especially facial reactions. My wife isn’t allowed to get even a little rowdy with me. She knows good people from bad before you do, and you’ll know it was she’s fearless. To a fault. I’ve had many dogs and lots of various breeds but there’s something about heelers. They are different than most.
Thats funny my cattle dog's favorite thing to do is go for a ride too. I take her almost everywhere i go because every time i get my shoes on she just assumes shes coming with. As long as it won't cause a problem i bring her because I don't have the heart to say no.
I had to put knobs instead of handles bc of this reason! My cattle dog would kick it open and run around the park infront of my house! The puppies hear keys and they're at the door!
Are Aussie breeds common in the US? Don't really see or hear of many being used as cattle dogs outside Australia. I have a Aussie Kelpie x B. Collie, she's so switched on. You can see in her eyes that she is absorbing as much information as she can & will actively problem-solve. Beautiful breeds. Amazing temperament. And endless energy!
My blue heeler has figured out when I get a phone call at a certain time of day, it's my neighbor and it's time to go for a walk. Only gets excited when she calls so don't know if he hears her voice or knows time she calls or what but he knows. Also if me and my husband are talking about taking him for a walk or ride even though we specifically use words to not give it away he knows because he starts getting excited before we even have a chance to get our keys or jackets and only does that when we are discussing it. And boy does he get excited.
Love the video, I noticed at the end of the video when he's opening up the back door to let the dog in that the door knob was all messed up from where you can see the dog probably tried opening it lots of times and messed it up. It wasn't even matched up to hide the hole where the door knob goes. LOL
One of my ACDs as a puppy kept hearing me say “Google” to look things up or whatever. After some time, the dog trained me that “Google” meant walk. I literally can’t say that word out loud now.
My ACD gets this exited when I put my socks on on weekends. Then when I say, "are you ready?", she barks for joy and dog plays with me knowing we're going for a ride. So delightful!
My Heeler heard what you said, GUESS WHAT DUDE? IT'S HILARIOUS!!! SHE KNOWS THE WORD, "SPECIAL"!!!! Everytime you said, "SPECIAL ", MY "TEX ", just took advantage of this VIDEO!!!!
Lol! I have an Aussie/Border collie 50/50 mix, and she loves rides, too. She'll run for the door, crying, and until I get there, she turns circles, the same way she does when asking for treats.
The baby talk is just cringe.
I get it, I hate hearing people chew, best I can recommend is don’t watch cause I ain’t changing
I don't think "cringe" really applies to baby talk directed at a pet or baby. You get a pass for that.

Beautiful Dog and so clever. I have a 2 year old Border Collie. She is beautiful to train ❤
This is how my border collie mix is. He has picked up so many words that we can’t even spell walk anymore. Dogs are truly smarter than you’d think.
