  • Through this video lesson you will learn step-by-step playing the BATUCADA in the box and, gradually, accelerate until you can play with me at the end of the video with the accompaniment of the song.
    Considered the most representative musical genre of Brazilian culture, SAMBA and its rhythmic phrases used to play drums, derive from BATUCADA. "The samba de morro was represented by the batucadas and samba wheels that gave rise to the schools." (GOMES, 2008, p.14)
    This touch of box was extracted from the book "New Paths of the Brazilian Drum", in memory to the renowned musician and drummer Sergio Gomes.
