They nearly could've stopped with this one game, it told a great campaign story that was super realistic, and multilayer is still good today with less sweats.
True, i love it till this day the campaign is goated with our male fantasys , and the multiplayer has a great sense of realism specialy with some form of tactical team play You will only understand if you play the mp in a roleplay fashion its ausome
I enjoyed playing this game multiplayer and hardcore mode quite a bit! Because when every gun is a one-hit kill you don't have to worry about dumb shit like the 725. Search and destroy was actually a bit of a blast on this game. I just wish they focused on a little bit more three-lane map design rather than going for hyper realism on the map design.
I really appreciated how they invested so much of their resources in a new engine for this game. People think this was an "updated" version of the IW engine that they used on their previous titles, but the "IW8.0" engine that they used for this game was actually an entirely new game engine that they tasked an entire studio to produce, which was the culmination of tens of millions of dollars invested and over four years of engineering work to make an brand new game engine for a new generation of COD games. You see so many people ignorantly repeat that COD has been using the same engine since COD 2. Those people have no idea how advanced MW2019 was. The advanced tech coupled with the rigorous commitment to physical realism gave this game a production value and level of immersion that few shooters have ever achieved. The design choices with the multiplayer that made low skill camping gameplay so powerful was disappointing, but the authenticity, realistic scaling/physical realism, amazing sound design, and excellent graphics made this game true gem despite some of the frustrating elements with the multiplayer. Too bad it's life cycle was so short lived, and too bad the games that came after it were so mediocre by the high standard that it set.
I’d argue that 2019 MW was the last good COD we have gotten in a long time. Before that, I’d have to go back to Black Ops 3 for another “Good” cod. The last amazing level cod was Black ops 2 or Original MW3
MW19 was the best we’ve ever had. The sheer amount of finishing moves, melee weapons, operators, and awesome maps we all know and love, plus Warzone debuting with the same engine. That time will be hard to recreate. Everyone wishes they were playing multiplayer like that and visiting Verdansk on the daily.
Even the cosmetics at least still looked tactical. Even if some were silly. Its what i imagine airsofters to look a bit like. Which is kinda what cod is, just with live rounds instead.
They had the recipe for the sauce that they could use for a long while with the grounded campaign, full of realistic assets and compliments of Ray Tracing too. But they ditched it slowly with MW2 then completely forgotten it with MW3. Imagine the hype with the ending of MW1 only to be letdown with the story being tied to Warzone, Multiplayer, etc. They overcomplicate it too much. Let each mode be a separate stories.
@@Bushberry They even have an intersecting storyline with Black Ops by introducing Zakhaev in Cold War which was a cool way to connect the 2 franchise, but I guess they want to sell them Battle Pass so they tried to revert the franchise back to Arcadey Campaign Storyline.
I miss how they took the game seriously. Up until war zone the bundles were approached realistically with skins based on irl units or fictional that could be realistic. Then they added Nicki Minaj
This was the most tactical cod has ever been and it lets be honest it did have its issues but me personally i like the slower paced game play but the majority wasn't feeling it
The reason why I love MW 2019 so much is not only because its realistic in the sense that it's a slow moving, heart pounding, you can die at any moment and just an all around realistic tactical shooter, but because everything that happened in the campaign actually happened irl. Did it happen the same way cod portrayed it? No, but it's all based off of real life events. Every other cod game was just so unrealistic that it would never happen.
I’ve always loved the battlefield games, and yes, BF4 was by far the best. I feel like they should have stayed in the modern era with Battlefield. I think this is what COD scooped handsomely in 2019 with MW.
What I hate the most is that only the first game in the new trilogy had any dark undertones. It was not peek realism like mil sim games, but it was like casual mil sim. It had such a good vibe, and then MW2 and 3 just went back to being regular COD. When I played the MW 2019 campaign, the first thing I was excited for was how the new remake of no Russian will be, boy was I disappointed. It is like they just said “hey we made one good game, now let's just do a meh job on the other 2”.

i'm late on this. MW2019 was i think one of the last best cods before everything went to shit. don't get me wrong MWII2022 was alright but they threw out the story from the 2019 campaign for some reason. this game had the story and even though the story continued in warzone the 2 new modern warfares could have at least told us what happened after allegiance and coalition were fighting in Verdansk and could have really made a story on the aftermath
@@lm_slayer1 true but that wasn’t an intentional design that was just players exploiting the game. They tried to even fix it multiple times but now it’s literally intentional game design to make you a speed demon

Though the MP map picadilly gets a ton of shit, its campaign mission is one of my personal standouts for the mw2019 campaign Picadilly created an experience that showcased how chaotic, stressful and messy events like that are for those first responding. It created a situation where you were ill equipped and underpowered to deal with a threat and translated that into gameplay, it forced you to carefully pick out and eliminate combatants in a target rich environment and had you make quick decisions in order to prevent people from being killed without it leading to a gameover
A lot of bad but movement gun play and details blow the rest out the way and the realism gun names etc didn’t like it the first year but once the sweats left it became one of my favourites
Love 2019 & hate people wanted outdated gameplay without giving the new engine/changes a chance. It was refreshing, now Act & other studios are abusing IW creative vision to what ever they want. MW2022 (campaign wise) pretty much followed the original story, being an action packed shooter than the gritty grounded war. MP was an upgrade gameplay wise but not graphically. (I miss tuning 😔 it made builds more special than having same 5 attachments). MW3 (SHG work I know) is so bland & slow compared to the last two. I think 2019 is still great but maybe an extra year it would have shined without having CW & V being merged in. Also I HATE replaying the Embassy, so lengthy & boring, I know it’s important but gosh.
