Good question, i actually never understood why he never competed for GB given that he was born and raised in Wales maybe because his father was more used to dealing with the japanese federation and found easier to get Rio competing under the japanese system, or maybe he just saw more possibilities in the japanese federation than in the GB federation, i mean JP clearly invests more in men's FS than GB sooooo....
