Fun fact: You can actually take out the paraglider for a split second after running out of stamina to break your fall.
This is true and very useful.
i was gonna say that, i use a bunch
I use that a lot because I'm a dummy and forgot where the other 2 parts of the climbing set are
@@Kaylee-Bear look them up then lol
ben there doun that
My first time I fought a lynel I equipped ice arrows and shooted thinking it would freeze, I kinda died instantly and on the loading screen it said, "Lynels are inmune to fire, frost and electricity
my first time trying to fight one (normally i would have run away but i was felling brave) i shot it with an ancient arrow thinking it would just take a lot of health off him but then he evaporated and i was left sad because i had no ancient arrow OR lynel weapons.
Wait
So you don't need a eletric arrow to stun then!?
In hyrule castle there 2 Lynels to fight and testing my arrows only the eletric one stuns when you hit in his head
(I tried even the explosive arrows, It didn't work)
@@viniciusmoraes8572 no even a normal arrow will stun them if you headshot, though if they are also using their bow no arrows will stun them
@@M1A2C. understood
I can't tell you how often I've forgotten that I've shekiah sensor abilities when I needed them most. Blight Gannon was just unbeatable till I looked it up and felt so dumb.
The most random death I've had was probably when I was gliding through a jungle then landed in the center of this army of lizafos and instantly got shot dead with their electric arrows
My first play through, I didn’t discover the warm doublet, so to get to the ice shrine, I walked up a mountain with a torch in hand.
That’s so smart though
Bruh I just ate a shit ton of apples, shrooms and peppers and 21 shrines in I still only have the clothes you get in the shrine of resurrection 💀💀
Same, except with an ice elixir. I didn't know about fast travel, so after the shrine since I was out of elixirs, I kept dying trying to to down the mountain.
My first time I just ran and kept eating. didn't work.
@@richieqs7789 same bro
Me who died to a cuccos 😎
Edit: This comment has more likes then my most liked video, Thanks
We all died to them 😞
i died to a metal plate in one of the one-hit obliterator shrines
I almost died
Idk I don't remember my first playthrough
Why did you do 😎 emoji when that was a bad thing😂😂😂😂
😎😎😎😎😎😎
#17 isn't really that dumb, it's the only one I've died from.
(Also how do most people not know that you can open your glider 1 more time after you run out of stamina to save yourself???)
Most of them aren't dumb, he explains at length why dying to Thunderblight is expected yet it's listed as a dumb way to die.
I love that he shows a Pointcrow clip when mentioning botw speedruns.
Same he is my favorite botw speedrunner
Another thing people have most likely died on is going straight to Ganon right after getting the paraglider.
real stupidity
@@moopig_ it's not stupidity it's fun
I remember trying to get to Kakariko village right after leaving the great plateau, but being unable to find it. The quest marker seemed to just be pointing to the castle... because it was. I had been following the wrong quest
I did that…but I think it was after I got to Kakriko village
@@emmamiller. ok nice. I had started a new playthrough cause I was kinda bored so I decided to go straight to Ganon right after getting the paraglider. I died multiple times but pulled through in the end.
I know this probably happened to very few people but once I was attacking the gerudo guards at the palace steps and they knocked me back and because I was low I died from FALLING DOWN THE STAIRS
Fun fact: you can get the gerudo guards to fight each other. I can’t remember where in the town you do this but it’s so funny if you pull it off
@@Spacemang0 I think it’s where the guards practice? It’s pretty funny seeing them fight lol
That happened to me too
SDFGHJKF LMAO
Happens all the time
You know, everyone always raged about how hard Thunderblight Ganon was, so I postponed the Divine Beasts till after I defeated almost every shrine and had a fully upgraded Rubber Armor. I beat it on the first try.
Thunderblight Ganon is not hard. You just have to prepare and take your time. You can do it!
Thats.... not how difficulty works.
@@tumultuousv How so?
u are the new god in life
yeah same. I mean, I got the rubber armor, and some Zapshrooms, and beat him on the first try. IDK how I did it. beginners luck ig
I didn't prepare myself that much I just brought a lot of food and I was like ,,Alright I'll save the Zora's first so I'll get Mipha's grace and I'll get a lot of fairies because next imma save the Geruto ladies and I'm prob gonna die to that thing and I need to be prepared!". I ended up going to face Thunderblight with Mipha's grace and 6 fairies and a lot of food. I used like half or a little more of my food but not 1 single fairy and not Mipha's grace and I killed it. Even tho I struggled at the last hit because it dodged my hits or to be more realistic I suck and once I got a flurry rush but I had no weapons in my hand so no damage but I managed to get another flurry rush and then I had a weapon so I did it.
3:19 Paraglider: COME ON IM HERE USE ME
"Even your own stupidity" thats the cause of about 90% of my deaths lmao
Thunder blight isn’t very hard as long as you know his attacks but when you first fight him you’ll probably die at least once if you fight him last when he’s at max health
i only died about 4 times but i had already done the other 3 divine beasts so i was already more skilled
I knew Thunderblight was the hardest so I fought him First with effects and killed him easy
I died like 50 times and I can't do it
@@KinopioSan do you have all the champion ability’s exempt for urbosas fury he’s easier if you have the other three ability’s
@@b-dawg1415 I only have Miphas grace but I will get the other two then do thunderblight after I'm done
have people still not realised they can just pull their paraglider back out for a second to break your fall if you run out of stamina while in the air? It was one of the first things I tried doing.
During thunderblight gannon, i left and spent like 3 real life days getting the master sword 💀
I just beat water blight and wind blight first then used revalis gale to shoot bomb arrows at him from above
I have nine hearts and nowhere near close to getting the master sword and it took me 20 something attempts
I spent 5+ hours in my first time in the great plateau and I didn't know how to hit gud 💀 great video man 👍
Thank you
Me to😂
same but 10 howers
love your editing style man, i can tell you put alot of effort into your content and it pays off!
Spent a whole day on this one lol
The one shrine you literally need to get zapped by lightening to activate it, made me crack up 😂
You can just use Magnesis to drop something metal on top of it
@@norabuss2525 wait so I got struck by lightning for nothing?
@@Atlas_88663 well it still opened, didn't it? I'd say that made it worth it.
I'm not sure how many people realize that metal equipment lying around attracts lightning too
With the glider stamina, I found that if you click the button to equip the glider just before hitting the ground, you get a second of gliding which can save your life
1:46 It just looked so warm and colorful! I couldn't help myself. 🔥😫
It happens to the best of us 😔
I'm cool.
i remember dying to a kick from a horse after i first left the plateau with the paraglider. i thought i was being careful approaching the horse, but it kicked me and i died. i dont know why i was going around with only half a heart lol
Game-saving tip: If you've run out of stamina while paragliding, wait until you're about to hit the ground and hit x again. The game will give you a second or two or paragliding without stamina
2:10 I went to thunderblight first in my first playthrough and I think from the time I first fought him to when i got the master sword and beat him when i got it, I'm pretty sure it only took me like..3 or 4 times? Remembering the fighting patterns helps a lot :) I like recognizing patterns with enemies so it made that fight a lot easier.
The pain when you go straight to death mountain with no fire proof armour or elixirs whatsoever and all I could do is to chew on a bunch of apples
And I was very young when I first played botw so I knew nothing about horses and the fact you could go to the 4 devine beasts by following the paths so I did a lot of climbing and walking
But it also means that I could explore other the beauty of the game which is truly wonderful
2:58 the game does tell you kinda. It gives you audio and visual warnings before the strike and if you have your inventory open it has an animation icon thing over weapons telling you which ones attract lightning
this isn't to say I haven't died to it before. I have its just not because I didn't know about the mechanic. I've probably died more times trying to use it to my advantage unsuccessfully than actually dying to it because I was running around in a thunderstorm absent mindedly
One time I saw a Lynel and hid behind a rock. He then started shooting his killer arrows at me and no matter how far I tried to run he was still shooting them at me. I panicked
That's actually how I got to Goron City for the first time. I just waited till i was at a half heart, saved my progress, then kept repeating the process over and over again until i made it 😂😂
I am so glad I'm not the only one who couldn't figure out what the heck was happening with the lightning XD I think one of the dumbest ways I've died though was right when I got off the plateau, I'm exploring the outpost ruins and not completely sure what I should do next when I see a little rock I'm standing next to start walking around. I guess I didn't immediately register as dangerous since it was so surprising and funny that it walked right up to me and one shotted me :l
Also I'm curious how many people have done this, I went directly to the castle on my second playthrough for some gear and got stuck in the lynel guard gate, died several times before realizing there was no way I was equipped for this right now, climbed out through a window and then somehow got shot as the lynel aimed *through the ceiling*. I even tried running inside the castle and the arrows were still coming and would kill me the second I stopped moving, no matter how far away I got
I think I either knew about it already or figured it out from the sparking on the weapon before it struck. Or mabye I watched a very unlucky bokoblin
But the metal pillars are USEFUL (if you magnises one and touch thunderblight ganon with them he loses so much health)
Also you forgot trying to pet wolves, yiga clan members & burning yourself (don’t ask how)
Pro tip for thunderblight: If you find the lightning balls annoying or difficult, you can get a wooden shield and your weapons won’t fall out of your hands when you block with it
Heres a tip to get past thunderblight phase 1: when hes shooting the orbs start running. but when starts going superspeed hold out ur shield until he hits it then use a sword and break his shield and then hit him.
The most times I died in a row was the first time on the plateau.
Water near magnesis shrine I died like 4 times, until I gave up and went around
River of the dead.. duh
And finally,
I died like 12 times trying to get off the great plateau tower, I didn’t realize there were stairs
When I first encountered a lynel in botw I thought it was good and approached it trying to be its friend and when I did it stared at me for a moment and then killed me…. That’s when I knew Lynels were enemies and or friends. :/
the first time i caught a glimpse of one i shit myself cause i had no idea what it was
@@M1A2C. LOL
on my first run, ur right, thunderblight was the thing i feared most and i probably died to it about 40ish times but after that, i never died to it ever again
My dumbest way I died was the first time I played it. It was the release day of the switch, and we got botw with it, and I was the first of my siblings to play. We all gathered around, and it got to the first reveal of the whole kingdom, right outside of the shrine of resurrection.
And then I just walked right off the cliff. Just flat on just pressed forward and fell to my death the second the cutscene ended.
Literally the first thing that I did in the game. My siblings will never let me forget it.
I think the only one that never happened to me is the thunderblight. for whatever reason the fight with thunderblight, i pretty much just time the zig zags like i would a dodge or parry.
Flower. Blight. Ganon. So, anyone remember that one girl with the flowers you aren't supposed to touch to get to the shrine? Well, I was being chased by a horde of skeleton moblins, and accidentally run into the flowers. just before I do, one of the moblins pulls a 2000 IQ move and shoots an arrow. the whole cutscene plays where the girl tackles me for stepping on her flowers, then I died immediately afterward. it turns out the moblin had shot the arrow exactly where I was going to be after the cutscene played. So yeah. I died to Flowerblight Ganon.
I have one thing EVERYONE died to: Your health reaching 0. I’ll take my comedy award now.

Me: Dumb Ways To Die~
I think I actually never died once to thunderblight🤔. It's honestly one of my favourite fights, tbh. It's so much fun getting the timing for flurry rushing correct almost every time! Idk, I just really enjoy this battle. And Lynels fighting them is also super fun🤩
2:16 i haven’t died to thunderblight
did the fight first try
a man
a beast
a legend
this guy needs a tribute to him
he's a hero
Me too, phase one wasn't that hard and phase two you had to wait 5 minutes to get told what to do and that's it
It was so easy I just spammed him with bomb arrows and flurry rushes
Thunderblight took me a whopping 3 tries. I’m great at shield parrying and perfect dodging and figured out the perfect time for dodging his “flurry rush” move
The problem with thunderblight phase II is he electrifies his weapon, I was shit out of luck when I only brought metal shields, but you can block with forest dweller or soldiers shield (or any other wooden shields)
you got me at the "swimming in freezing water" part
Well you see, one time i got outplayed really hard. You know lizard enemy have range attack with their tongue, instead of hitting me he hit the electric chuchu jelly beside me (happens laying around cuz i beat electric chuchu before) its just left me in shock, like literally in shock.
Dying from the Paraglider Is probably 1 of the most Common deaths In the game where you forget you don't have it
"thank you grazzy and the bread pirate for voicing my starving children"
I remember exploring really far my first time out and I had the gale technique and decided I was going to get the heck out of dodge the MOMENT I took damage for over half my health from an enemy. I leaped into the air JUST in time for one of them to start playing 'Link the Pinata Boy' and batted me over the edge of a cliff and poor Link just rag doilled his way down the cliff, died, was revived via fairy and died again on the way down. I was laughing the entire time.
On the ice shrine I didn’t know how to get there so I spent like an hour trying to figure it out. I ended up going around the mountain, over the cold river, and up behind the shrine 🤣🤣😂
If you die by 'running out of gliding stamina', you died of failure to comprehend there's clearly a button prompt to give you one last chance.
I remember the first time I played, I didn't know you could teleport. Literally. Didn't Read.
So I went into Hyrule field, and I saved somewhere in the middle of the field. Immediately after a Guardian noticed me. I had no idea how to beat it, how to block or parry. I tried to run but it would shoot me.
That was my first save. I started over from scratch.
The first time I played I went to the castle without knowing there were divine beasts So I went in there with a bunch of weapons and food and 7 hearts and instantly died to windblight thinking it was the final Boss and I had no idea what I was doing
Final boss but also the first boss you fought lol
2:10
Sealios Spring: You have to have died from Thunderblight!
Me: I haven't died from Thunderblight.
“There’s no way you haven’t died to thunderblight. Everyone that I talk to says it took like thirteen attempts to get home to phase 2.” Me who died once then beat him on my first playthrough: 😎
First ever playthrough I jumped off the Ridgeland tower to do that paragliding distance test for that guy. There was a thunderstorm happening and I thought absolutely nothing of it and then of course was struck by lightning and died 😅
My first attempt at Thunder Blight Ganon, I already did the other 3 Divine beast's. I didn't die at all, but I think I had the thunder armour equipped so that might be it
Shockingly enough, my first time in thunderblight was a simple experience. Even my father (who has played Zelda games since they came out) was shocked I beat it first shot.
Once, I started playing after my sister and was still on the great plateau and my sister was helping me with something and was on the tower, and I was like remember I don’t have the glider yet and literally 5 seconds later she jumped off the tower expecting to be able to glide.
if you're stamina is out while flying, you can pull it out for a split second to break your fall
also i fought thunderblight as my second boss and it wasn't hard. i did have rubber armor but it was only upgraded once so i still took some electric damage
I was about to comment the first half, I've gotten so good at it i can stop my fall like 3 feet from the ground and be fine
i beat thunderblight first try, by the end of it my hands were shaking. pro tip: bring a lot of fairies
On my first play through I spent 3 hours thinking you could get over the bridge in the ice area
Number 7 is soooooo relatable xD
Great video!
2:23 You can use Magnesis to move a pillar under Thunderblight and cause massive damage.
for almost the whole time I played botw my older sibling was somewhat guiding me (cause I'm minorly directionally challenged and it would've taken me over half the time if they didn't guide me) and the way I fought the first 2 divine beasts (Ruta and Rudania) was mainly just by panicking and a lot of luck so when I fought thunderblight ganon I did it on the first try and we kinda just sat there during the cutscene after wondering how I did it. Botw is such a great game and sometimes I wish that I hadn't had someone guiding me but other times I'm thankful cause I would've died a lot more if my sibling hadn't given me tips and information about some things.
I admit, I recently rode a horse right into a small fleet of Guardians at Central Tower and got killed. Like geez, I was trying to get to Kakariko Village and got turned around because the only compass direction on my location circle thing is NORTH!
The game tells you if you get strucked by lightning because lightning comes from your weapons... You can just doge it with the Thunderhelmet
"I know you've died to thunderblight" Oh ho ho, watch and learn, behold before you a man who has never died to thunderblight. I'm so naturally gifted. Waterblight however, waterblight I've died tooooo many times to.
Beat Thunderblight the first time but was killed by a lot of these other ways. Lynels, falling, freezing, guardians, Yiga clan the first time, and blown up by my own arrows and dumb Wizzrobes
When i started, looking back at heros path i repeatedly jumped into the cold waterx and didnt stop for another hour.
My first time playing I died in the very first pond you encounter on the Great Plateau where you dive into the flower ring to get your first korok seed.
First time I played botw I activated the tower and was like “does this game have fall damage, oh obviously not cause there’s no way to get down from here.” And I just walked off the edge and stared at the game over screen for three minutes
Most common death? Bunch of monsters teaming up to form an angry mob to kill link. That really screws me up.
Def guilty of pulling out bomb arrows THREE times in a row in the fire mountain and it not “clicking” until the third time 😂
well, i may or may not spent my first 25 deaths trying to get down from the stasis shrine
reminds me of my first time playing breath of the wild, i did not know that rafts existed and i wanted to get to eventide so thats why i had to get *ALOT* of endura carrots and once i got there i saw a raft and i was like "NAWW"
Thunder blight was my third divine beast, and by then I had the master sword, I don’t remember dieing to thunderblight, but retrying him form the dlc nearly killed me 10 times due to my controller disconnecting and reconnecting in the middle of movement, making my movement inverses somehow, but I still had 14 hearts so I survived like 5 head on attacks before fixing my controller with reconnection
I’ve heard people saying the thinderblight Gabon was easiest and I was so shocked because I tried like 6 times and nearly gave up
I remember on my first playthrough I died to #5 because I wasn't aware that Bomb Arrows automatically exploded in Eldin
The Hylian hero can't even tread water lmao
For fighting thunder blight for the 2nd time in the DLC I just used Urbosas fury and then wait where it couldn’t kill me until it recharged
On my first early game attempt on thunderblight Ganon, I got to phase 2, and then it took me 4 more tries to beat him.
Every time I've run out of stamina, i just fast travel out. Lol
What's funny is that I got to Thunderblight's Phase 2 first try, but then Phase 2 was another story...
Not realizing you can still move with the sheika slate camera marker thingy and falling off the great plateau tower
Once I teleported to a tower, the one with a bunch of guardians near it, I then got shot by a guardian beam, survived, but rolled into one of the holes of the tower and died.
I don't know how, but the only two dumb ways I've died are to Thunderblight and Lynels. I don't understand; it must have just been luck.
Bobs in the fire reagent are awesome
I died to the major strength test, and by jumping into the cold icy river
bombs... just bombs. self detenation
cue Arin Hanson from Game Grumps trying to shoot a bomb arrow in Vah Medoh's gondola and going ka-BOOM! because he didnt realize that there's an invisible wall in the gondola.... yeah i did that too the first time lol
I don’t remember dying to lighting blight but I remember bragging how easy it was
I almost died twice to bomb arrows in death mountain, my stupid ass forgot about the fact that they explode automatically, thank you Mipha for saving me
Fun Lynel Story: I was on the mountain shown in the video when the Lynel spotted me so I glided down to Zora's Domain but when I was gliding, a barrage of arrows came from the sky and killed me aftetr having glided away.
This video seems less of "dumb ways you've died in BOTW" and more like "ways that we've all died."
I feel like I've been killed by bomb arrows on death mountain.
Out of all of the Versions of Ganon for each divine beast, Vah Naboris and thunderblight Ganon was actually the easiest for me. I didn't fight him at first because everyone told me he was the hardest, lol.
My biggest flex is doing thunderblight first and in only one attempt with 5 hearts, a single frostspear, a soldier’s bow, and soldier’s shield, and bomb arrows 🍷🗿
"They never tell you that holding metal weapons gets you hit by lightning"
Well, nobody directly says it, but it gives some hints
1- Sparks come from metal items
2- On the loading screens one of the tips is that this happens
3- It always has to be having a thunder storm when it starts to spark
Not to mention that if you paid attention in science class you'll know that it's generally not a good idea to hold or wear anything metal during a lightning storm in real life.
Dude just Stasis the thunder blight when he gets close but yeah, it is really hard to beat
dont people know they have to prepare for thunderblight first? i died TWICE 😂
