- Nyon, Switzerland is one of the most underrated cities in Switzerland. It has great food, a fun vibe and everything you could want from a small city. It’s also very historical with Roman ruins. I did a walking tour to show you everything you need to see. It should be on your list of places to visit in Europe.

Nice walking tour of an obscure Swiss town. Looks like a very pleasant place to spend some time. Judging by the signage on the stores this must be near the French border. We would love to visit Switzerland someday but it is a bit pricey for our blood. An American market, now that's unexpected. What were the prices like?
The prices are pretty expensive in Nyon and really everywhere is Switzerland. Though the hotel I stayed at in Nyon was reasonable compared to Geneva which was nearby. The one positive in Switzerland is it would be an easy place to vacation because you can rent a car and easily drive across the whole country. The food and hotels would add up but if you did it strategically you could pretty much visit all the major cities in a reasonable amount of time to keep the prices down.
I miss Nyon. Lived there over 20 years ago when I worked for the UN. Much prefer to live there over Geneva. Time for me to revisit.some day.
