I think it's good to have reachable expectations about how you want to shoot. I played in a small friendly tourney where my goal was to shoot even at 3 different courses. "Even" was 6-10 shots lower than my best rounds at these courses. Also, your playing against the course, so go out have fun enjoys other's great shots, make smart scramble choices and make some putts. You just may be on top at the end
Question: you're playing MA1 and talk about wanting to cash. Do they payout cash in MA1, I thought that was only in pro divisions? Also, I'm curious to know, do you do any field work when it comes to driving or upshots (backhand or forehand), or do you just play a lot of courses? Thanks for the content :)
Question 1 - cashing. I just call it cashing but it's merchandise payouts. Since I won this tournamnet, I got $120 to a local shop, butonly the top 40 or so % of people get payed out. I just call it cashing because that's what pros get and sounds better than "crediting" or something haha Question 2 - I don't do enough fieldwork, but try to train on the course a bit right now. As I go into my offseason and don't have any more tournaments for the year, I'm planning to do 3-4 days of fieldwork each week to work on distance and consistency!

That's a good mentality too! I jsut tend to put too much pressure on myself to do that all the time!
