Hi Robert, its something we haven't used much and to be honest we are not 100% sure how to do it properly. Going to try it a bit if we ever get on the rivers again and make a video about it when we have learnt it a little better. Cheers for watching.
@@BobbleTv I have had runs using the paternoster on rivers. overall on any method my results on rivers have been poor. My mate says he's had good results using paternoster smelt on the Trent. Using paternoster on drains, canals and gravel pits has been excellent. Game changer as they say. It does get a lot of runs from jack's but every now and again it'll get a big pike. It's my blank saver and I'm getting three times more runs than I used to. On still water I use as light as possible lead and float 1oz lead or less float around 25g sunken if birds are a problem. Single size 4 treble through the back of a roach is my favourite. I have had decent results using a single hook but when the pike takes a delicate it's not very effective. Hope this helps.
@@BobbleTv I believe it must be 90% of the time I am using dead roach or bream not too fussy which I use. I do use lives and they are a little better usually going that bit quicker than the dead bait on this setup. Some of my venues don't allow lives and others it can be a little too difficult to catch the live bait.
Always enjoy watching your videos
thanks as always dave
Good stuff lads, never heard anyone so disappointed to catch a pike 😂
Think he was happy really
Well done on the fish lads 👍
cheers
Well done both.....hadva few blanks down there last year...hopefully do better this season
Been tough on there recently Ian still a nice spot to waste a few hours. Thanks for watching as always.
Bob in the video you said Tom's on the Paternoster rig I'm not convinced.
My question is not convinced about what?
