I made my own cards today so I can play this with my students on Monday, so I'm watching some gameplay videos for ideas. I first learned of it when they played it on Good Mythical More last year. Thanks for the upload! Also, Allison was SO GOOD at this game!!
Believe it or not, it already has been! According to the wikipedia entry for the game, "By the mid 1990s a version of the game became a Latvian television series (with a parliamentary setting, and played by Latvian celebrities)." But we agree it would be fun to modernize and air in the US!
Sorry for the delayed reply, Nebi. Somehow we missed this when you first commented. This game and The Werewolves of Millers Hollow were both published in the same year, and neither are the "originals." As stated on the Looney Labs website for Are You a Werewolf, the "original" game was Mafia, a public domain game created by Dimitry Davidoff in 1986 or 87. Andrew Plotkin is the one credited with changing the game to the werewolf theme, and the Looneys played many games with Andrew Plotkin at their home game nights before tiring of using a standard deck of cards. They created an illustrated card set to use with this by-then-classic game. Since then, there have been many more implementations by many more game companies, most notably One Night Ultimate Werewolf by Bezier Games. I suspect the quiet guy with glasses to be a real world werewolf and the Looney Labs company should handle it.
He no longer works for us, but he's a great guy! If he is indeed a werewolf, it certainly didn't affect his performance, or our health!
Thanks for instructive sample game.
I can't help but wonder if this game can be turned into a high-stakes, high-suspense TV game show.

They should have had name labels on their shirts but yeah, thanks for the upload!
Got my family reunion in June and definitely playing before we all start drinking lmao
This has to be a hard game to play unless all of the players take it seriously. It's a the perfect sociological experiment
Such a fun game ^_^
Hold up, isn't this the same as the original french game The Werewolves of Millers Hollow?

Is this the original “among us”
What is bare minimum number of people needed to play ?
7
The minimum is 7. Odd number of participants is preferable. If the group has 15 or more add 1 werewolf for each 4 participants.
