He studied and won an EE degree in France obviously in French with french lecturing after he was born to speak Yiddish and Russian first and then German and only after that French and then English and Ivrit along the way..so why the great surprise he should know about simple mechanical engineering of armaments ? Fun fact .. when Daisy does not like her daughter's lifestyle (Elsa Zylberstein) and visits her in a Parisian flat in the film Mina Tannebaum..what does she leave behind but a framed photo of the L Rebbe.
