Hi, its the 13G with the built in trailer, elec start and 15amp alternator. I really have not had a chance to run it other than rip up a few small fir. Its been working as advertised. The carriage is built strong and lightweight as it moves down the rails.
Depends on what you mean by paces. :) I'm just a weekend users, cutting for my own needs really. I'm very happy with it. I've got a few other videos on here of cutting different thicknesses. It cuts straight and consistantly. I even cut thin enough that I could bend it into a lamp shade.
Good to hear. I like that these are Canadian as well, but hard to find any good english informative videos on these units. How do you find the cut rate with the 13hp motor? Would you consider the 25hp upgrade for $2500.00 to be of value?
$2500 for increasing the HP by about 100% I think is worthwhile, but it really depends on the wood you are cutting. The 13Hp I have can cut up to about 24" which I believe is far more than I will ever need. Plus the fact I'm not cutting commercially, but the Econo13 cuts quick for me. If I were going to be cutting a lot, I'd probably invest in the add ons to assist in handling the logs, like a power assist for rolling the logs, and a function to raise the log on either end to align the grain.
To address your other comment, they do have very little in English content videos. I would find out who their local dealer is in your area. The guy I worked with here in NS was very friendly and very knowledgeable. If there was one feature I would add to the unit would be an hour meter for the engine. its can be added on afterwards though.
Thanks very much for the replies. I'm in Ontario and have spoken to the closest dealer (about 5hrs away). He was very friendly and knew his products, but I didn't know all the questions to ask, but from your replies I will go over the log handling equipment with him. I would think the hour meter would be essential for proper servicing, I appreciate that tidbit!
I am comparing prices can you tell me what this saw cost
Contact the manufacturer, who will get you in touch with their local dealer for your area.
Just wondering which model this is? and how is it working so far?

My neighbour also has this model, he had a Norwood and said he couldn't have been happier selling the Norwood for this.
Have you had a chance to put it through its paces?
