1991 Arctic Cat Super Jag Restoration | Episode 4.1

The fourth installment starts with a thank you to many channels out there that give hacks like me the confidence to work on own sleds.
In part 1 of this two part episode, I remove the rear suspension and replace the bearings on all the wheels. I ended up getting the guys at work to weld up two broken parts and remove a broken bolt that I was not able to extract. I am very glad I did take apart the suspension as it needed a fair bit of repair to avoid an issue on the trails.

I've started looking after a 94 Super Jag that has lived some life and is now taking on grooming duty at the local MTB trails. This series gives me a few ideas of things to go over for maintenance during the summer, especially some of the spots that have cracks in the skid. Looking forward to some more videos.

Just became the owner of a 91 Super jag myself, it had 150 metric miles on it and seems to be in mint condition, i've been watching your series to learn how the machine is built and what might become of it, what repairs i have to look forward too etc, definitely gonna check the boogiewheel bearings, since it must have been sitting alot. Thank you for this series, looking forward to more episodes.

It’s a fun little machine for sure. I hope it gives you lots of memories. 150 km? That’s an awesome find, congratulations! I have probably at least three more episodes if I don’t have to pull the engine apart this summer - pesky idle issue still lingering. Going to air test the engine shortly.

Any idea when the next episode will be out? Currently restoring my ‘89 Super Jag and these videos have been a godsend for a kid rebuilding his first sled.

I would sure like to find a cross reference for a automotive shock that would work in the suspension of my 91 jag deluxe. something discontinued and inexpensive.

They are coming! Thanks for the encouragement, in total there will be around 10. Currently rebuilding the engine. Had a few weeks wait for a $5 part to come from EBay.
