I guess your analysis is missing a small point : During the 1st round of the UCL... , the Big Teams like AC Milan have to face little/small teams ... until reaching the better rounds and face the stronger ones... as well as making more money through reaching those stages. So, instead of wasting time doing so, they just go straight to the "better quality of matches" which logically start from the 1/4s & 1/2s finals in the UCL... and make more money by conséquence ! So, I think I'm supporting the Super League project as a Big AC Milan Fan ❤🖤
Uefa may not do everything right, but the clubs have been heavily indebted for years and the cost structure has assumed dimensions that are no longer justifiable. More money for the clubs means higher transfer fees and priceless salaries Ford Players. In my opinion, this will destroy football. Therefore, I'm glad that Bayern doesn't participate. :)
Real madrid gets 10x and Zagreb x, because Madrid's contribution to Uefa's earnings is 10 times Zagreb's. Now, Madrid's problem is that they think they deserve 15x. The employee who's working harder than others and getting the same compensation is a bad comparison. A good one would be, the employee is getting each extra hour paid the same amount as the basic hours everyone else is working, but he's asking for a higher amount to be applied on the extra hours. How you state the problem makes it sound like oh the big clubs are being stolen, but it's not that obvious. It's a problem of how to calculate the fair contribution and the current contribution does not have a fairness level of 0.
