The difficulty spike from Liyue to Inazuma was lowkey egregious, Fontaine is easier than Inazuma, whoever made certain parts of Inazuma seemed to be having a bad day and decided to take it out on the players. Tsurumi island was the bane of my existence, I thought my game was tweaking when the fog kept coming back. I will say however, if they made a region kinda like Inazuma (more challenge less frustration) now, I would actually really enjoy it. Genshin is easy and while that´s not necessarily a bad thing, I feel like there is room to make some things more challenging in a rewarding way, great video btw
@@asabiexplains thank you for the last comment. I don't know why but I have a great fear releasing this to the world that I didn't feel with the previous 2 vids lol
Inazuma should have been chapter 5 rather than chapter 2 due to its dark theme and dark environment Natlan should be chapter 2 because it felt like liyue vibes
The thing about Inazuma's difficulty that makes me very frustrated is that even though the enemies were way stronger and harder to kill, the rewards were the same as regular enemies. Like I'm fine with doing something more challenging, but if the game rewards your effort with nothing, it's just pointless, makes farming even more annoying Back in 2.X this was more noticable, nowadays with new characters Inazuma is fine in terms of enemies. But still, I remember how annoying it was to farm for inazuma characters back then
I vividly remember my painful Inazuma experience. I started playing around 1.6, so I was new and severely underleveled when Inazuma came out. I think the true pain began when I got Yoimiya. Not only did I have to turn into a rock climber to collect the whatever small amount of Naku weed that grew on mount Yougou, the talent domain was a literal death trap to me! Don't even get me started on the two samurai there - at that time I didn't have a good healer or shielder besides Barbara, and opted to venture into that cursed place only when absolutely necessary. Pre-nerf Pyro Hypostasis was really...an experience. Forced me to build DPS Barbara because I couldn't fight it otherwise. The walk to the boss itself was obviously dangerous to me with all the samurai and vagrants on the way to the teleport waypoint. TLDR: I love Yoimiya but she made me suffer. I wasn't prepared for the horrors of the nation of electro.
@@ItsJustT by that time I had already collected the necessary amount (thank GOD these stupid plants can be grown in the Teapot), but at least other players won't suffer like I did lol
Haha i love everything about Inazuma except the archon quest. I loved solving challenging puzzles and exploring the different islands. Also Tsurumi Island has one of the best atmospheres in the game. And Inazuma was the starting point for longer world quest with interesting stories. I wish the newer regions had the same level of challenge
Ah Inazuma. Screw you, land of Electro. Yk what I like about Inazuma? Thoma, Kokomi, Amenoma Kageuchi, Ayaka and Watatsumi Island. I despised almost everything else. Frick the AQ. Frick the Tatarasuna WQ. Frick the damned Rifthounds. Frick the Electro DOT. I. Hated. Inazuma. Do not even get me started on Raiden.
Back then even I can't finish those balloon at archon quest without sweating But I understand because back then before 2.x we on "burnout" phase because there's almost a year without new map (except that mountain and apple archipelago)
As someone who has 100% every single area in Genshin, I will say Inazuma had the most annoying puzzles. There were multiple I had to do at least 15 times because I missed a single electro particle. Or those cube puzzles which got more difficult with each area. I also had to explain how to do the “match this picture” tile puzzle since someone was so confused as to why it wasn’t working 😅 Did I find it fun? Eh, mostly. It was both fun and infuriating but at least I felt like my mind was challenged in some way lol
Funny thing was, I mained Bennett at that time so he kept telling me to watch out for lightning. I somehow only got struck twice the entire time I was on Yashiori and Serai Island. I just refused to let the lightning hit me lol
The only thing i outright hate in inazuma is the rift hounds, which is why i avoid their island, lol. Other then that its my favourite nation and i will always go back to do the aq agian and again, besides where it drags it out with ritou and Traveller saying no, they you gotta waste time and go talk to 3 people damm that sucked.
The most egregious part for me was all the flashing lights baked into the Yashiori Island lighting. I saw some youtuber (forgot who) glitched the storm out of existence but the landscape still had that annoying flashing, meaning the devs intentionally put it on top of the landscape's texture. Still remembered wanting to genuinely hurl while doing that one bow challenge at the resistance camp. Thankfully I've never experienced that from any video games since. But seriously who tf thought it was a good idea to put that much flashing. Not even Seirai Island had that and its entire thing was lightning. I've already removed the storm but I'd rather go through Tsurumi than stepping foot on that island ever again.
finally. people called me crazy for hating inazuma when i got there but going from liyue to inazuma felt like if you took a brand new day 1 player and dropped them in dragonspine. the environment tries to kill you, the enemies are so much harder than we were prepared for, everything is quest-locked, it literally sucks so much until you clear all the content required to tolerate/maybe enjoy it. the fact that there are more than a couple quests that span several days to unlock certain areas and equipment is diabolical. good story but absolutely deplorable gameplay
All those difficult things we've gone through to get to where we are... I kind of miss them. Looking back, one could even say it's nostalgic. What I wouldn't give to do Dragonspine for the first time, again. 😥
I’ve only ever gone to inazuma to collect materials, I’ve tried to finish the world quests and stuff so many times but it always becomes so tedious and annoying.
