Yeah, EXO concerts are usually about 2-3 hours long, and they do sets like this of 3-4 or more songs, then they take a 10-15 minute break to change catch their breath, and come back out for more. It seems most of the songs you have listened to are their title tracks, and their more EDM, club/house songs (which honestly, they don't have that many of)...but don't let that fool you. EXO does every genre, and they do them all quite well. They have some very experimental tracks, and some of the best ballads I have heard anywhere in music. And their mid-tempo R&B heavy tracks?! That is what they EXCEL at. With Japan reactions, you do have to be more careful than with the Seoul ones. For Exordium performances (their 3rd concert, which this clip is from): always go with Japan performances, except for Accoustic session. Kai, one of their main dancers and the groups center was injured for the Seoul performance, and the camera work was so much better for Japan. However, the Accoustic medley was much better at Seoul. And since they were sitting, Kai was with them. This is the best version of that performance, and it has subtitles for the speaking parts (not the songs, unfortunately) which is a huge plus. The song they do beforehand, Unfair, is one of my favorite performances, it is really fun. Here's a link: ua-cam.com/video/VjDq2y-0wTo/v-deo.html. As I said, because it's Seoul, it shouldn't need any cuts. For their 4th concert, Elyxion, ALL SEOUL performances are superior. The Japan concert has brighter videos, but the members have weird hair during that concert, and the set list is not as good as for Seoul. Also, the vocals at the Seoul concert are truly amazing, in every way. Sorry, this comment got REALLY long, and I probably gave you way more information than you needed or wanted, but so many people will tell you that Japan performances are ALWAYS better, and I just wanted to put my 2 cents in there as well! Hope to see more EXO reactions!!
You need to see exo planet 4 concert, the elyxion Diamond+coming over+ run over+ drop that + power. You know it seems you are in the party. Exo concert always amazing
EXO have so much influence on international pop culture that big western companies, such as Disney are coming to them and asking them to partner with them. "Lightsaber" was a collaboration between Disney, which owns the Star Wars franchise, and EXO as a way to help Disney promote the most recent release, at that time, of their Star Wars movie "The Force Awakens". So SM Entertainment came up with the song "Lightsaber" -- which is sort of a remake of a song SM already had also called "Lightsaber" which we heard used in Kai's pre-debut teaser video -- and EXO's accompanying MV. EXO is one of the biggest groups across Asia, with one of the largest fan bases, so it's not surprising that "Lightsaber" as a song and MV got a lot of recognition around the world. And because of its popularity, SM came up with this concert stage as well. One of the reasons why SM agreed to partner with Disney on this project was because it fit so well with EXO's storyline and concept. As aliens from Planet Exo, it makes sense that EXO might be Jedis as well. :D And like everything that EXO does, flowers even play a part in their live stages. Flowers are a central part of EXO's storyline, so we often see flowers in things to do with EXO. Although I am not sure yet what the significance of blue roses is, blue roses seem to have an important part in the story as well. For example, we also see Sehun with a blue rose in their "Love Shot" MV. This concert is in Japan, and if you notice for "Lightsaber" they are singing in Japanese -- "Lightsaber" is one of EXO's Japanese songs, so if you watch the MV, just know it's going to be short because traditionally, most Japanese MVs use an abridged version of the song. I think It's part of Japan's marketing strategy to make you buy the song or album in order to hear the full song. So, most of the time, to hear the whole song you have to see it live in concert like this. (They have a Korean and Mandarin version of Lightsaber, as well.) Rumor has it that an executive from Disney happened to catch EXO's performance of "El Dorado" at one of their concerts -- in which EXO also has choreography that uses lightsaber-like lightsticks -- and that's how they were inspired with the idea to ask EXO to collaborate with them on this project. Also, as one of the big 3 Entertainment companies in Korea and around the world, SM has had a relationship with Disney for a long time now and SM has partnered with Disney to produce programs for Disney Channel Korea in the past. Many of the members of NCT got their start pre-debut as members of Korea's Mickey Mouse Club and they starred on the well known variety show which aired on Disney Channel Korea. As you noticed, at the end of 'Lightsaber," when they started their dance with the lightsabers, you see that they turned on their rain machine. That part of the stage has a rain feature that can be turned on and off. So it was raining down on them the whole time they were dancing with the lightsabers. That's why they were wet at the end. That's also where the water they were dancing in came from. Water played a big part in this concert tour and they got wet several times during each concert because of the rain machine and moat filled with water that encircled that part of the stage. These performances were all at the same concert and part of the same set, so they were all performed one right after the other without any break, but for some reason this compilation video was put together with these performances out of order. So, "Transformer" and "Overdose" actually came before "Lightsaber," that's why they were wet at the end of "Lightsaber" but dry when you see them in the next song. (And FYI: "Overdose" has a Korean version MV and Mandarin version MV as well, so if you haven't checked out the MV you should do that next.) Fun fact: In the middle of "Transformer," when EXO makes that picture in their dance, if you know what you are looking at, you will notice that they are using their arms and bodies to "transform" into EXO's hexagon symbol and they spell E-X-O. If you think these performances are amazing, just wait until you see a whole concert. Kpop concerts last 3 to 4 hours straight and they perform this intensely while singing live pretty much the whole time. In this concert they probably performed 20 to 30 songs and they never took more than a 5 minute break in between sets to change their clothes and set up for the next set of songs. So, what you experienced in this video is only a small snippet of what you can expect for the whole concert. Now you see why EXO concerts sell out so quickly, because everyone wants a chance to see them perform live. EXO are one of the top selling world artists. Their concerts sell out some of the largest concert venues around the world and they are one of the hardest tickets to get. They hold the record for selling out somewhere around 230,000 seats in 0.2 seconds. The mad dash to secure a ticket to one of their concerts often crashes ticket selling websites even before tickets go on sale. And that is not an exaggeration. They literally sell out in the blink of an eye in every country they tour in. They are world artists on a whole other level.
Exordium, Elyxion etc are just fancy names for their concerts. . Wolf from Exordium Japan is really their best live performance! Check that out next Their live Acoustic medley is also great
Well, yes you are right they have a unique style. And it is really important in K-pop industry if you don't have your own style it is really difficult. and it is also difficult to dance and sing at the same time but not for K-pop idols and they must do it. It is not like some boring concerts. K-pop is not a joke. And When K-pop idols are in stage they are so energy because their fandoms give them energy to do it.
they win the best concert for a reason😎 actually the song not in sequence in this video..just for copyright issue..lightsaber is actually the last performance
You can check out exo acoustic session + lady luck + what if from 0112 channel it's one of their simpler performances where they are not really dancing much here is the link
