Thanks for the review! There are many Neo reviews out there but I don't recall seeing much about the charging hub. I'm glad you reviewed it separately, because people assume it's just like the other DJI charging hubs (I did!) whereas, like you mentioned this little guy can charge in parallel. That's a great plus, but there is another difference to keep in mind. With the serial charging hubs, if you insert all three, it will not take any longer to get one battery to 100%. The Neo charger on the other hand, will charger three batteries in 60 minutes but one battery in 45 minutes. So if you're out there and are charging from an external battery to extend your flight time, it's best to charge one by one. But then you need to keep an eye on the charger to know when to switch to the next battery. That's probably a minor disadvantage that won't affect everybody, but I think is worth noting. Again, thanks for the great review!
I bought the Neo 3bats pack on Taobao during the 11/11 festival, mainly for this battery hub which can Quick Charge my phone and tablet on the go, with my Action 5 Pro's battery charger is JUST a charger( lots of people get confused and thought it can act as a power bank), for less intense user Neo+Action 5 Pro can cover daily use.
Hey Rick - Love yer enthusiastic drone videos. Thanks for sharing..!! I just got my Neo a few days ago from DJI. I got the charging hub, and 4 batteries total. I have charged all batteries up, and flown a handful of times. When I get 4 green lights - a full charge - I pop a battery in the Neo. At a full charge (100%) - I have never gotten over 8 minutes for each brand new battery. I heard the batteries could go 18 minutes, and thought most pilots got 11-13 minutes of actual flight time. I am a mello slow flyer while I am learning. This is the same for my phone, or the RC2. What is a realistic flight time for each battery for other pilots? Thanks
It's a great value and a must-have for extended flights. It's also a new charging algorithm that can charge all 3 batteries at the same time. Thanks for the post!
Anyone else have a problem using as a battery bank, I plugged my phone in and starts draining the phone. Tried with a gopro it doesn't work, press the button and it just goes back to sleep after 5 seconds
One thing you have realize about the DJI Neo battery bank is that it can fast-charge with a 65W charger but in battery bank mode it can only supply 5V @ 2A. This isn't enough to charge most phones or other larger gear. If you try and draw too much power, it will turn off like you noticed.
I ordered the battery hub, it works great. Nice review Rick.

I think DJI should have thought about doing that ever since the beginning with they're fly more combos.
Thanks again Rick for sharing. 👍👍👍

Am I right in thinking that DJI makes a wall charger that does 45w ? Have you tried it if I’m right?
65W DJI charger is available
just purchased this from dji store.$35 seemed cheap and shipping was free.sounded to good to be true.

I use 45w and at the moment i have two batteries and it heats a bit. Is it normal?
