其實秦王還是有很多厲害超前的地方：統一度量衡、統一文字。焚書坑儒燒的書不是全部的書：「史書只保留秦國史書，其他國家的史書都焚毀；《詩經》、《書經》及諸子百家之書只有博士官所職可以保留，民間的都限期交出燒毀；醫藥、占卜、農業之書民間可以保留；想學法律的人以官吏為師」坑儒埋的是術士。
所謂的坑儒，完全是司馬遷顛倒黑白，秦始皇坑的是方士術士，不是儒生，秦始皇重視的是法家思想，和這些儒教站在對立面。

其實換位思考-如大家是秦始皇 要如何真正統一全國去治理從沒有人做過的所謂“國家制度”； 想必便能理解在當時秦始皇戰勝六國而合併下混亂的一切情況； 打勝仗遠遠不比治理難。 況且秦始皇在那崇高地位上始終能納入各國博士的諫言、分辨出可行之法下放執行，也真不簡單了。
我感覺坑儒士是杜撰的，根本不存在，坑術士倒是有可能，畢竟煉丹很多都是忽悠，的坑儒倒是不太可能發生，想想看自從商鞅變法開啟，六囯士人就逐漸到達秦囯，秦囯客卿的隊伍越來越龐大，這裡面沒有200個，也有70-80個儒派的學者吧，前面好幾代都沒去坑，突然到了秦始皇坑儒，這感覺就是極不合理的況且先秦古代文盲率98%，100個人裡面大概只有2個不是文盲，這些人怎麼動筆桿子，大概也扇不動廣大的農民階層。
@user-wq4qe3kh3h 你好，嗯確實，焚書坑儒一事我也醬認為，我是想到秦始皇當政時期皆在大興土木，與其坑儒被後世史書寫成臭名，不如將其發配至工地建設之類更能起到直接回饋國家、且還不需其它支出（倘若當年的建設的民工隊多少仍需給予薪資食物衣物之類等等）。
哦順道與您分享在下最近在觀看的“簡牘”，便是秦代一位吏官所紀錄的約3.8萬片簡牘，上頭寫了秦代很多律法及大小事件，然 似乎也沒寫焚書坑儒一事---一般而言（在下是認為）古代吏官應該會忠於秦國事實、即便是輕輕帶過或支持秦皇作法也應要記錄下來；so以目前看來秦皇坑儒事件卻無當代實情記載呢。
