I thoroughly enjoyed this video review. Not only was the presentation and style of the video really neat, the voice over added a really nice touch to this trip review. The footage is clean and clear and the review itself was concise, precise and coherent. I look forward to future trip reviews from this channel.
When youuu say 'what appears to be' for your food that's a red flag. Late to the party here but I have major issues with CAL's business class offering (that masquerades as first class). From the service to the equipment it's very mid-tier but as an AV geek the seat pitch for business class is my #1 item. Ironically, the issue is that it's too big. As counterintuitive as that may sound, as a taxpayer it tells me that these often half-full jets really should add a couple rows to become far more efficient in their use of space. I'm 6'5"-6'6" and find the seating for 2A to be odd for a recliner. Were they thinking full lay flat? Who knows but perhaps less frequency and more efficiency along with less pageantry and more quality could improve both the offering and the financial state of the airline... that and stop fooling people to think that 3, 50lb bags is a smarter/better move than two 70lb bags for business class. Keep the good work going. It's dope to be able to have this for us even with just two aircraft types on tap. I wish they'd just get the E2-190 and make some sense to do some far more efficient long and narrow flights!
What you don;t realise about those in positions of power and influence in Trinidad, is that despite them not having a friggin clue of how to run lucritive, successful businesses that can rival international ones from Europe, Asia and the US, they won't allow those who actually possess the education, ability and know-how to do it since it would mean that they would get all the notoriety, praise and money. Hence why the nation is in a mess since they have a culture of unaliving business competitors, board members and such just to gain power. These people do not care about their own nation and their airline is no exception. They continue to repaint the livery as if this would magically wipe away the past and bring in new customers. Just like every Caribbean takeaway in the UK, they tailor their service and products to appeal to their own rather than to attract and keep new customers who are not aware of the food and culture. It's the same backwards, ignorant, small-minded and retarded approach with a bloody airline that is supposed to represent one's own nation. Mind-boggling. Don't get me started on that BS of a terminal building that only provide two gates for widebodies. The people running this airline wouldn't be hired by any decent airline and I guarantee that they do no even fly Caribbean Airlines. No IFE despite 4+ hour flights? No lie flat? Bad customer service? I'm ashamed of my country. I used to be so proud to be a Trini and now... Trinidad exported it's best and brightest and we cannot even return to fix our country without being unalived by the greedy, envious and stupid ones. Corruption is a btch.
Recently I have been doing some regular Miami trips and maybe should consider doing business class especially for the late afternoon trips . Appreciate your review, very consise. Thanks
For the price to travel with CAL, it’s disappointing. This product is lacking and behind industry service standards. The Cabin Crew is the airline biggest asset ☺️.
Yea. Given the market conditions, I don't see it improving because the clientele is not there to support a better product. It's very comparable to the other US carriers in their first class domestic product as well flying into/out of Trinidad.
TO THIS CARIBBEAN 737 JET BLOGGER [“GATE CHECKED”], WHAT “A LOVELY ISLAND REGION’S GOURMET INTERVIEW [TO TRINIDAD]” AND YA’LL, “LATEST CARIBBEAN FLIGHT VIEWERS, ‘MAY YOUR HEAVENLY FATHER BLESS’ YOU!!” 🍹🍱🍧
Very disappointed with this airline. Basically offers a "low-cost" product for a premium price. No wonder they cannot gain traction in any major US and European city. All this airline need to do is tailor a competitive product that rivals the US competition and enforce good customer service via having zero tolerance for average to poor customer service by their staff. I've heard too many complaints by Trinidadians about the bad attitude of many of the staff, both on the ground and in the air. Not to mention no IFE for 4+ hr flights...in 2024, soon to be 2025? Yet when you look at Air Tanzania along with other small airlines in Africa and Asia, international customers give those airlines serious consideration due to the service and overall product. They'll run this airline into the ground for the next 20 years while rebranding t two more times within that time-period in the hopes that painting a new livery would re-attract new customers. All that oil, gas, asphalt and tourism money and they don't properly invest into the airline AND airport. 2 widebody gates is ridiculous (with daily KLM A330/B787 and BA B777's, where would a possible Caribbean Airlines widebody park...especially since that rubbish terminal building does not have enough medium haul traffic to occupy more than 60% of the gates at any given time. It's embarrassing!? So growth/expansion into European and African markets is restricted unless the gangster in power were to care about their country enough to start expansion plans of the terminal...or they can just continue to pocket the nations economy in their pockets.

Excellent presentation.

what r ur thoughts abt the new caribbean airlines livery? havent flown with them since 2019 with the old one
Didn't like it at first. Looked a bit too bland but it's grown on me now.
Business class on Caribbean airlines is comparable to a premium economy on any other airlines sad to say
