I’ll bet today (2021), an enemy could slowly and openly party its way across the country right into pretoria without our military knowing at all.

NADS Devon, Mariepskop, Ellisras . I was at Devon in 1969. The Buc was the the best aircraft in the SAAF.

I was driving near Pietersburg one morning when 2 Bucs went directly over my head at about 50 ft. Nearly blew my Mini off the road and scared the living sh-t out of me.

When I was at 24 Squadron, many times the Bucs wold come from the east and fly very low, under the radar. It was great to participate and to watch it unfold!!
