How is it different from existing VSAT systems where we can install these dish antennas anywhere in remote North East regions and get direct internet beamed down from the satellites?

That's just blatantly misinformed. If you send a signal from the USA to India terrestrially it needs to be boosted every few hundred kilometers, which is done by DSPs. The original photon is lost. If a sat like SpaceX or any is in LEO ( like 300-500km) above earth the original photon is never repeated in one direction with a lag. The lower latency of LEO Internet is in fact one of the main selling points, albeit not many industries can use it. For instance if you do HF trading on the US stock market you could go directly to the US. A very costly undertaking. You may find a model where a 3ms doesn't matter so much and do it from India though, something impossible without this new mode of less latency. Of course the future is as unpredictable as our imagination. That's why we call them enabling technologies because they enable future rapid innovation. Now to the video itself. Just looking at the size of the dishes it is clear this internet offer is not in LEO (low earth orbit)
