Back in the early 1970's, oldies became all the rage (think American Graffiti). Some local radio stations started playing oldies and I listened to nothing but oldies on the radio for about 2 years. At that time, there was a Chicago oldies station that held a contest where they would play short clips from about 20 songs and the listeners had to try to guess the songs. Well, I considered myself to be fairly knowledgeable as to the oldies after constant listening to this oldies station so I tried my hand at the contest. After a few days, I figured out what 19 of those songs were but there was one song that eluded me. It sounded familiar but I couldn't quite put my finger on it and that oldies station never played it, that is, until the contest was over. "Susie Darlin'" was the song I couldn't place. I don't remember what the other 19 songs were but I never forgot "Susie Darlin."
I love this tune. Originally sang by Robin Luke in 1958,and brings back memories of the girl I used to see on the tube between London Bridge and Islington on the way to work every morning and p
I used to dance like this on the way to my mailbox across the street, only I was naked wearing headphones. The lady in right front has best natural rhythm. Best body award goes to Red hair lady in middle, back row in the black boots. I wonder if they all went to the bar after this?

Yeah the lady in the front is the star of the show. So elegant. 👀
We were doing this in the 50s and 60’s in Melbourne long before it was called line dancing.

I have all the respect in the world for these dancers, they're all fine aren't they, but I think the star of the show is the lady in the front right.

All the people watching are asleep or bored.
Prachtig lied en dans, zou ik graag aan mijn club willen uitlessen, maar kan de muziek niet krijgen. Zouden jullie me dit lied kunnen mailen?
You really are informing people incorrectly
You need to do much more research
