Drivers like Donald are the reason why I fell in love with trucks I never drove class A I couldn't pass the physical because of my eye sight Donald is spot on I lived in Orange County California so I'd drive out to Ontario California to the only two truck stop's that were close to me the TA and the 76 Auto Truck Plaza just to watch trucks and listen to drivers talk and tell stories
I’d love to talk to this ole trucker man! Seems down to earth and probably has some really good memories out on the road! I’m about to start my own deal so hopefully I can be successful not only for myself but my family!
Another great interview! Love when the drivers open up about their trucks, their careers, and everything they’ve learned along the way. Also enjoy seeing the older iron out there still makin it and setting the example.
In this world, that seems to just be so ugly, it is so refreshing to hear a beautiful interview. Chris, the driver's feel the your care and respect you have for them. That draws out the good in somebody and that's why your interviews are so sincere and from the heart. Donald is one of those old school drivers that still have so much care and respect that we can learn so much from. Keep up the beautiful interviews!!!
A must for any trucker is to have the full support of your life partner. My loving wife was always and still is my best friend. She has been with me for 61 years and I hope for many more to come. Dave
Thank you DLS for your service to mankind! That truck is beautiful! Over 3 million miles! No electric motor will ever last like that! In Calif our poor drivers are having to jump through so much red tape! And now they have to jump with late model trucks that have no personality and no power and certainly no lasting qualities but then again either do the new drivers! Also thank you Big Rig Videos for your excellent interview skills? 💚
Wow he was good, how did he come up with those answers he must of been waiting a lifetime for you to call him up on cb. I take my hat off to him, his truck looks as good as his words. Thanks Chris, I really enjoyed that. Took me to somewhere else
Hey Chris I love what you do and it's much appreciated. Thank you brother. I would love to see you interview the UA-cam truckers as well. One comes to mind for me. Ht logistics. He's the man for sure. I would love to see a rolling cb with him. He's very informative.
I agree with him on soooooo many points, but especially on drivers waiting until the last possible second to cut in front because of a lane closure in construction zones. Drives me crazy.
Another fantastic video. Conversation on point. If ever you wanted to open a truckstop this has all the pointers. I can identify with the lack of CB's on the road. I will certainly be adding one to mine in a few months..
Just added a CB in mine, and I gotta say it's been invaluable already. Much safer and easier to call ahead to find out what a hold up is caused by, how long it might take, etc. Looking on your phone is comparatively dangerous, and a terrible idea in any sort of traffic. Bad idea anytime you're behind the wheel TBH, but especially in trucks. CB's also remind me of the good old days driving with my Dad, listening to the truckers and their old stories. Man, those drivers sure had a sense of humor! You can still find them out there, but unfortunately they're getting more and more rare. What a shame. I really don't want to see a time where Electric vehicles are all over, cars and trucks drive themselves, and everything is so soulless and passionless. Hope I'm gone before then.
@@littlesteve855 nice. Great way to keep in touch, as long as you have the range! I was hearing truckers from all the way in Atlanta from where I was in the East Texas area. My budget CB in my Dodge wasn't anywhere near powerful to reach that far, but the incoming was clear as crystal. I can only guess what setup that guy had! The distance was around 690 miles according to Google maps. Pretty incredible for a mobile unit.
@@littlesteve855 dude, go for it! It'd be awesome to hear the airways more active. So few people use them these days, it'd probably make for a good alternative to social media lol. Get to know the locals and regulars. From what I heard, back in the 70's through the 90's it was a big source of social life on the road. Wish I'd been able to experience those times...
And also, chri'm not sure where you mean. We go to for truck shows and all that. But my dad, my step, dad. He sometimes it goes down to Florida. And all of that, but right now, hes going towards North Dakota. Green Bay A little bet farther out from Green Bay. But I think there would be a lot of people on your videos that would like to hear the story about that truck
Awesome video as aways!! Also what kind of radio and antenna do you run in your car ? I run a 29 classic that has some juice to it and a noise toy with echo and talk back run a Wilson 1000 magnet antenna
Honestly, all I gotta say is my stepdad. Would love that truck and and if you're ever want to know who he is? His name is Sean Miller, he drives AW 900 L. And no I don't know ACB handle. But I think it's Hollywood.
