People who are really moaning at Ben for not sharing where he gets stuff printed and where to but shirts ... like are you dumb. 1) Ben has shown the building and mentioned the company where his shirts are printed in earlier vlog's and 2) man up google is piss easy
+ ConRaWr I hope that was intentional? Second time round you wrote 'with' instead of 'wish' I'm absolutely not a grammar/spelling bitch but just loved the irony of it!
Well done for clarifying that remark at the beginning, Ben! Some people have a hard time grasping the fact that success doesn't just get handed to you on a plate. Keep up the great work.
I set up a small clothing business not that long ago and I managed to find out everything i needed to know independently. If I'm honest the whole planning and sourcing part was one of the most rewarding and fun parts of it all. And Ben is right, if you aren't able to work out how to get tees printed then its not something for you. I found it hard when I was only having a few orders a week, there's a lot to keep on top of and if you are starting out from fresh then you can't even start to think about it as a way of making money, you need to be in it for the fun and for the fulfilment of seeing some random person wearing a tee that you designed.
Ben is absolutely spot on. I'm probably one of his older viewers (only 38 tho) and I've noticed a huge shift over the last two decades which I blame on celeb culture and reality shows which give the impression that success is instant. So many people (of all ages) now expect everything handed to them on a plate and aren't prepared to put the work, effort and initiative in first. I respect people who get what they want through sheer determination, hard work, initiative, creativity and reach their goals despite the inevitable knocks that come along during the journey. Great Vlogs as usual Mr B
We live in a very information-friendly world where too many people are coddled and given everything because they feel as though they are entitled. Like any good business person, you must be willing to put in the leg work, work from the ground up, and really struggle in order to feel a true sense of accomplishment. It has nothing to do with shirts and everything to do with WORK. Good on you, Ben. :)
That's just how it is when you film vlogs i guess. You can't film everything as you need to have a line between privacy and "public" life. On the other hand you do some things that you wouldn't do else, for the camera& us viewers.
I agree with Ben entirely. People can't expect everything to be put on a plate for them. Plus its so much more satisfying when you do things for yourself!
People would learn so many things if they would just read. It's trial and error but people have got to have the desire to learn. Laziness is a dangerous thing.
People took it the wrong way, if you are smart enough you'll no what Ben was trying to put across and he is totally right ! And Alfie learning to go down stairs for the first time was hilarious ! So cute ♥
I've been watching Ben since nearly day one and Alfie is with out a doubt the best thing to ever happen to Ben's vlogs. Cuteness level is now through the roof.
OMG I can't believe people actually tried to make drama out of it! I completely understood what you meant and would have never even thought of taking it any other way.
So nice to see someone else's view on life after we get so caught up on our own! These vids seriously are an escape during the day, feel like I'm there with you!
Watching Alfie learn how to go down the stairs was definitely the funniest/ cutest thing I've seen all day! Good news of the day: passed my anatomy oral exam!
I found out today that I have to do an essay type piece of coursework for GCSE business studies and I have to choose a small business to base my essay around and the first person who came to mind was Ben! Definitely going to be an awesome piece of work;)
I got you about the T-shirts Ben. Find it hilarious that people are moaning about it..... it was a metaphor although you don't want to tell them anyway. Some people are lazy and plain stupid
totally agree with your "not baby-ing people through the process" talk at the beginning. Learning is what makes everything so much more fun and satisfying! Besides Google knows all ;)
Ben I for one appreciate that you don't hand things to people. You never got things handed to you. You work for what you get, everything! Even if you are funded in some things, it's because you've WORKED to get to where you are. I appreciate your attitude about it! :)
Tbh if people are too incapable of even searching online for themselves to find a t-shirt printer then they can't be that serious about selling t-shirts.
I agree with ben...how do you expect to accomplish anything in life if you have someone babying you through everything. And if you are interested in selling tshirts, wouldn't you want to learn everything it takes to do so? Anyway well said ben you're the man come to New York City !
You wrapped up your point perfectly at the start of the video Ben! A lot of people acted on their first instincts a couple of days ago before really thinking about what your words meant. Regardless advice is free and wether or not people choose to take it or throw it back in your direction is on them. Keep doing what you do in making your voice heard bro! :)
Ordered my Work in Progress shirt on Monday and I can't wait to wear it, showing my support for MR BEN BROWN'S CLOTHING RANGE :D Getting stressed about collage work as deadlines are coming up fast but watching these vlogs always make me smile and make me forget the stresses of work.
Your points are well taken on setting up an on-line clothing business. In terms of what I think, it never ceases to amaze me the expectations of some people that you are going to walk them through step by step how to be in direct competition to your business. I mean, come on-- really?? I think you have more than generous in spirit to share what you have about it. Whatever the case I hope you don't loose too much sleep about it-- your video contributions are terrific on their own merits. Also switching gears - Love the Bombay Bicycle Club album.
Hey Ben. Great vlog including the 'Alfie conquers the stairs' video. So funny! Kudos to you w/ yr intro about people havin to learn for themselves to really gain experience in any task, and in life. Really great job in reiterating this point. I can't get over Alfie sliding down the stairs in one scene, and in an earlier scene, Louis is spinning him around on the floor (tail a wagging). Cracks me up!! Thanks, man. Keep up the great vlogs.
Ben - I agree totally! I'm an open book to help other photographers (I'm a wedding photographer) but one thing I don't share is locations because it's exactly like you said, I'm not doing another photographer any favors by telling them where I found a location - it dampens THEIR creativity because they would probably shoot it exactly the same instead of discovering it themselves and finding their own way to look/use the space. :) In a weird way it's helping them to not make it too easy!
Good news: I got offered what is pretty much my dream job today after several years of failed interviews! No more working at Waitrose [although they're actually a good company to work for].
I totally agree with you Ben about the whole problem solving aspect, but maybe people wish to know where you personally buy your t shirts so they can compare and contrast it with other company's prices etc. Either way, I totally agree with you it's best to learn yourself 😊
Ben, please don't take it all too seriously. When people gain success, viewers tend to make a fuss about being humble and have a false sense of entitlement. You can't always please everyone and in this case I think you are right. I appreciate the fact that you share "everything" with us in stead of superficial trips to Starbucks like a bunch of UA-camrs are doing around here. You are honest about everything and that makes you one of the most genuine UA-camrs. Honestly I think the people that are commenting on how you show off your orders and presents from sponsors are just jealous. And for the T-shirt part, kids are just used to getting everything handed on a plate and that's why they moan about information. If they were really serious about printing/selling T-shirts they would know you've already told/shown us where you print them, and if they can't figure that out, it's maybe best they don't even bother starting anything like it. I love what you're doing man! Don't change for a couple of people who cannot appreciate your honesty.
I really like you're explanation on challenging ourselves and putting our brains to good use. I feel like my generation (or maybe just me and my friends) are really used to instant-gratification, but you're right, working hard is a lot more satisfying than just doing minimal work. Thanks for the life lesson, Ben! :D
your point is more than sufficiant, I grew up getting a lot done for me.. people just expect it......they're using the "Oh people do loads for you" to be intimidating. That's not right at all, but again some people expect it so don't know better. What you're doing is teaching people and sticking with what you know, simply to help them. You don't have to be vlogging..so people should respect that. We're here as a community. Whilst enjoying how happy you make people, not to take away everything good, like some people probably try to do, simply because they're jealous. Anyway haha, Alfie is such a great dog, I was outside just a second ago..nice 12 O'Clock feeding with the neibours cat ^^ She's fluffy, I miss aminals :P
Your so right, I've spent the last year doing my dissertation a piece of research, you spend a lot of time figuring things out for you self, like how to do you ethics or even setting up your study, I had a supervisor but she was they just like Steve is to you to point you in the good direction. I just finished it last week and I was amazing to see the final research what I did that was all mine very satisfying to see :-)
If you watch Bens videos you know how hard he works everyday on his youtube content and his online store. Have some respect for his hard work. Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime. Ben is not an ass. If you watch his videos you know he is a sweet, loving, caring guy.
Im doing great! Thx bro and about the shirts drama u have the right to keep the info for urself!! U told them to start from google!! and this is the beginning of their adventures,The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing!! But im not agree with ppl who complain about that. Anyway keep up doing ur vlogs bro! I support u coz u are a very good guy!! Cheers ;-P
Put some peanut butter in each end of the kong after the treats and it keeps the pup busier for longer! My puppy loves her kong. Ps. love the veelogs x
I seem to share your philosophy Ben - maybe cos our birthdays are quite close? I don't know :) I never like giving people direct answers, rather subtle hints so whilst they do get a bit of help from me they go through the process of solving their own problems. But that's the reason why some of my mates hate me when it comes to assignment - but hey I'm me and I'm actually helping you by making you do some work for it!
Awww! Alfie going down the stairs was *adorable*!
LOL!! Alfie slothing his way down the stairs = cutest thing ever!! It's like a child taking their first steps! ;)
People who are really moaning at Ben for not sharing where he gets stuff printed and where to but shirts ... like are you dumb. 1) Ben has shown the building and mentioned the company where his shirts are printed in earlier vlog's and 2) man up google is piss easy
3) check his old vlogs he has already told us
Wizani Tekassala he already said that in his comment lol
Danielle Elia i really with i now put buy instead of but -_- why do i do this :(
Agree @Conrawr
+ ConRaWr I hope that was intentional? Second time round you wrote 'with' instead of 'wish'

ALFIE going down the stairs made my day!!!
Ben is absolutely spot on. Great Vlogs as usual Mr B
Good comment MJ and a sound, but equally sad, set of observations. Must be something us 'oldies' pick up on (I'm 46!).
cutest thing in the world... Alfie practically sliding down the stairs!!!
Yay! now I can go to sleep! I needed my daily Ben's dosis!
See ya tomorrow!
We live in a very information-friendly world where too many people are coddled and given everything because they feel as though they are entitled. It has nothing to do with shirts and everything to do with WORK. Good on you, Ben. :)
i want to steal Alfie
You can't have him!
in louis vlog he films saying bye, but ben did it too, they said goodbye twice just to get good camera footage lol
That's just how it is when you film vlogs i guess. You can't film everything as you need to have a line between privacy and "public" life. On the other hand you do some things that you wouldn't do else, for the camera& us viewers.
Lol I'm pretty sure they do a blog goodbye and a real one when the cameras are off.
This explains our conversation much more! Makes so much more sense, we all appreciate all the effort you put into your clothing and everything!
Love your videos! 100% agree with you on the "t-shirt" scenario!
Aww I'm so proud of Alfie haha!
Goood job puppy!!!
I agree with Ben entirely. People can't expect everything to be put on a plate for them. Plus its so much more satisfying when you do things for yourself!

Alfie and his "sliding approach" to going down the stairs. ABSOLUTELY HILARIOUS
People took it the wrong way, if you are smart enough you'll no what Ben was trying to put across and he is totally right ! And Alfie learning to go down stairs for the first time was hilarious ! So cute ♥
Alfie slothing his way down the stairs = cutest thing ever!
I've been watching Ben since nearly day one and Alfie is with out a doubt the best thing to ever happen to Ben's vlogs. Cuteness level is now through the roof.
Completely agree with Ben working for something and getting it is so satisfying.
OMG I can't believe people actually tried to make drama out of it! I completely understood what you meant and would have never even thought of taking it any other way.
Definitely thought you meant Alfie Deyes xD
I feel sooo sorry for you Ben. Some people are sooo rude. Don't let them get to you. Keep smiling :) you have helped me soo much in my life :) x

I totally agree with your reasoning Ben! People overreact sometimes. Keep doing what you're doing.

ALFIE IS SOOOO CUTE!!! Can't even deal with all the cuteness :)
I got you about the T-shirts Ben. Find it hilarious that people are moaning about it..... it was a metaphor although you don't want to tell them anyway. Some people are lazy and plain stupid

Alfie sliding down the stairs is the most adorable thing ever! 😂
I feel for you Ben, the internet always has to be arse
You're a consistently good guy, Mr Ben Brown. Ignore the 'stupid' and do your thing - you are on the right path!
My good news is that today I finished my exams and completed my first year at university! Now I've got 4 months off for the summer! Woooo! :)
Ben I for one appreciate that you don't hand things to people. You never got things handed to you. You work for what you get, everything! Even if you are funded in some things, it's because you've WORKED to get to where you are. I appreciate your attitude about it! :)
That bit about Alfie was so freaking cute & funny!
Alfie makes these vlogs at the moment, he's just so adorable
Watching your dog go down the stairs is the funniest thing! He's so cute!
Ben I agree with you 100%! I think that people need to become more independent with simple things in life!
Alfie is adorable & so are you!!

That little pup going down the stairs had me in stitches laughing! Also, congratulations on becoming verified!

''Give a man a fish, he'll eat for a day, teach a man to fish he'll eat forever'' thought that was a good way to sum up your point ben :)
You are a breath of fresh air.

Oh my God Alfie going down the stairs :D I can't, he is so cute!

Always nice to quickly catch some positive vibes from you Ben before I enter the world of dreams. Nighty night!
