Wow, man! It's always great to see a straight razor shave by someone with experience! I have one, and I really need to try it more often. I'd have to do it with my right hand, as I have a little weakness on my left. The Declaration Grooming product is top drawer, too. Stay cool!
Thanks, Tom! There are definitely ways to shave with a SR with just one hand, but I consider myself lucky that I've never had much trouble switching hands being somewhat ambidextrous :)
Hi. Nice one. Yeah these "little" razors are easy to manuver. I haven't bought a new soap in a while, I've found it takes a really long time to kill a tub of soap 😀 have a good rest of your week
Speaking of finishing soap, I've knocked out a puck of Williams, a puck of Colgate and a puck of Surrey this year. They'd been around for a while and needed to be finished up. Nice looking straight shave! Thanks for sharing HD and have a good week!
@@HDShaves I lived there for 20 years following graduation from Northwestern. My last 10 years were in Ravenswood on Montrose Ave. I was walking distance from Lincoln Square.
@@pjwroblewski Wow! You went to a fantastic university, good for you. Many of my bandmates also attended NU :) And what are the odds you lived in Ravenswood?! That's where I live 😅 on the northern edge off Lawrence, though
Great shave! Glad you enjoyed the razors.
Nice straight shave Henry 👍

Glad to see another HD video. If you keep using straight razors you'll fit right in on Lemmy. I'm one of the few DE shavers there.
It’s funny to me how many new people to the hobby are using SRs! Maybe there’s really a resurgence happening

Nice job on the soap kills! Sadly killing soaps is my main shaving motivation these days 😅
@@HDShaves yeah, new soaps don't really entice me much anymore.
Nice shave with a lovely razor.
Thanks for watching!
I seem to remember you are from or live in Chicago.. mind sharing which part?
😀

A nice razor for sure. Have you tried any razors from Thiers Issard?
So fitting that when I googled "Heljestrand MK31" your video was one of the first to pop up 🤓
And no, I've never tried a French razor before.
