  • In this episode, I finally finish with the shed I built over the dungeon. I'm skipping through installation of board and batten siding, all cut on my Woodmizer LX 25 mill. I'm liking how it turned out. Any new construction on this Ozark Mountain property will be finished much the same way.
This channel is dedicated to educating and entertaining anyone interested in the art/science of historic restoration, which will include construction techniques and goals, related off-site projects, a little homesteading and off-grid living, history and maybe even a little farming. On this property stands a Dogtrot style log cabin built in 1850, with an addition constructed in the 1970's. Although at one point, this was likely quite a nice and well cared for home, but years of neglect has caused a lot of deterioration.
My intent is to have you learn some construction and restoration basics, as you watch. None of my videos are intended to teach the use of safety techniques or use of personal protective equipment. That responsibility is yours and those around you.
    Enjoy!

Even cleaned out, it still feels like a dungeon. I feel a little like grandpa Munster every time I go in, lol!
