Doing my first Dopey challenge Jan 2025, also my first Marathon. I’ve done multiple half’s and shorter races, so this will be a fun challenge! Not going for speed/PRs, I just want to get them all done!
Oh no-too late to get more shoes. Have to just wear my lucky shoes. Piddly little 5K but my first in 45 years! Love the Idea of RunDisney. Going with my adult daughters, one of them has a birthday. “Bib”-that’s what’s it called? Ok. Thanks for points on the weather. My run gear is Fairy Godmother theme -not a full on costume tho. Regular run vest and colors like the Fairy G. Mama. Best news: I can (finally) run a 5K!!
First running event, first marathon, figured dopey sounded like a great idea. Great video, makes me feel a lot better. Pumped! Hope to see you out there!
@ that’s how I roll. I’m an idiot. I mean Dope. Hope to be dopey. With PR off the table. If I can make it to Sunday not sore and awake. Feeling good right now. 20 hurt. Not interested in running that far again training. May stick to 17 for the remainder of plan.

I will definitely bring something passable.
I so wish I found you sooner!! My first ever Dopey and marathon will be this one coming up!! I'm so nervous, my training didn't go very well but all I want to do is finish!
You’re going to do great and you’re going to love it! Just make sure to take a moment to take it all in; it will help manage the anxiety. Happy running!!!!!!
Do the resort shuttles take family that are just spectators or just runners? We moved to Orlando and now i have my first disney race (disney springtime 10k).. im wondering if its best to stay at a resort or just drive inbthe morning.
@@michite7435 The shuttles will also take spectators, but sometimes the drop off is not ideal for spectators (unless you want them at the finish). Driving in will always give you more freedom, but you have to get to race super early to beat traffic, and sometimes it’s really congested getting out. So, there are pros/cons to both. I like staying on property and taking the shuttle in as I think it makes things just a little easier. For me, at least. Happy running!
