Good video guys, Cedar Creek is tough on a hot summer weekend day. The amount of pleasure boats is absolutely ridiculous. People on the lake got more money then sense. No matter how tough it is someone always shows up to weigh in with a 20 pound bag.
I've got a few Mark Rose rods, but I REALLY like the $99 David Fritts 9' telescoping rod. You can lob a big crankbait easy. (major issue with that rod is that Lew's won't upgrade the cheap rod tip eye - it frays the line and must be replaced sooner than later) I have that paired with a 5:1 Lew's SuperDuty Wide Speed Spool and get to chuckin' those Berkley Dredgers and 6XD's!
have u ever tried the long flat shelf with the big drop off in lynn creek cove on cedar creek? theres a small boat dock with tires on the left side of it,, fish the flat in the morning and the drop in the afternoon.. lots of big bass over there at times.
as primarily a crappie fisherman, we just dont see as many largemouth around brushpiles as we previously thought there would be, occassionally we see on ghost past a brushpile, but usually see catfish hanging around piles.
Ken, love the videos! Question: who would you recommend for a guide trip on Rayburn? I want to learn the lake more and am interested in a guided trip. Thanks!
I grew up on that lake and run around it quite a bit. Do you have a boat? I don’t do guided trips or would want money. But I wouldn’t mind showing someone around when I’m there if you can’t find a guide. I don’t have any live imaging on my new boat but will pretty soon

A bad day on Rayburn 20 bites 😫. If can catch a limit say in the 8-12 lb range on Hartwell your doing good .
Good ol’ Speeder Creek
BB1 is my favorite reel. Currently in the process of replacing all my old ones with them.
