Some of the lines were… questionable
I think that pulling out lyrics are examining them one or lines at a time is probably the most anti-art things you can do to a song... but man some of the lines are really questionable.

@@yagnn i'd like to believe that but they wouldn't know which exes to combine. the only ones who would make sense are jake gyllenhaal and john mayer, and then calvin harris/tom hiddleston/joe alwyn. MAYBE joe/matty healy/travis kelce but she feels so negatively about matty in her music that i don't know if she'd ever do that lol

I thought the same thing when I watched the ep, but like Luds logic of "people thinking it's bad won't impact how well it will do" doesn't really make sense to me, cause like just because a thing does well doesn't mean it's good? He should know this, tons of people have absolute stinkers as their most popular videos (including him for a time, kinda)
I think he's completely right. Lots of people like the album, objectively its super popular. Its 30 songs, some of them or some of those lines being terrible is kind of irrelevant.
Thing is, popular things don't have to be good to do well. What Lud's saying is that it doesn't matter if people think it's bad on twitter, unless the main fanbase itself genuinely thinks it is beyond trash and unlistenable, then the album will still be insanely successful and it won't leave even a dent on TSwift's bottom line.
