The refinery looks great Joe! I have no idea if it's prototypical or not either, but I think it works. I love night scenes, your lights look great but I agree - you need a few more. Great job on the scene!
I bought a large refinery, but I don't have room on my current layout for it. Sad face. This is awesome. Going save this for down the line when I build my larger layout so I get an idea of how you set up yours. Thanks for the video.
Joe your Refinery is really looking great. The improvements are making it look impressive and large like the real deal. As for prototypical I can't say but who gives a. It looks great. Keep having fun, Chris
Prototypical oil refineries would usually be a lot larger. This looks to me like a small chemical plant that produces a single product, plus various by-products which have to be stored as shipped out for disposal or further processing, and also stores a significant inventory of the chemicals it consumes. Pretty much any number or type of tanks could fit depending on exactly what is being processed and how.
@@joeraderblackrockcentralrr Thanks Joe. I work at a refinery so I’ve decided to make the main industry on the layout a refinery and these kits will do just right for that along with some scratch building etc.👍🏻
Wow way to go Joe. Was reading Dennis comment below, he was talking about actual size/ components. That this would represent basically a chemical plant. I worked at a refinery for a while and he is kinda right. But that’s okay it’s your refinery. Two things I would suggest, and I hate this because I’ll have to do it as well, more lights, it’s like daylight at night and everything including the towers gets lights. Other , but this is for prototype look, would be tank burns.n you hate when the stuff spills out of them tanks.
working on a second refinery kit to expand this scene. More storage tanks coming too so the berms will wait a bit. Thanks for watching and the comments
It looks good. Every refinery I drove by in the night was lit up like a xmas tree. Good lighting effects.
Oh WOW nice job JOE that looks great! Now I want to see switching! Make sure you put the lights on the switches.
Looks fantastic Joe! I think the lights are awesome. Great work!

Cool Joe you’re making it come to life. The lighting looks great but like you said it could use a few more lights.
Looking real good Joe, the lighting looks good. Bob
