  • Artist statement for a body of work comprised of light paintings made with the core movements of my Bagua practice. Special thanks to Gary Sanchez for helping me with the photos and Arvin Lucio for the music track.

I find it highly interesting in the fact of how sifu Carbullido's mind set is reflected in the mandala at a first glance, anyway. Beautiful! I am so in agreement with Sifu Carbullido's attitude on the true purpose of kung fu. You LIVE it!

Ray I just commented on your teaching mudras to Nepal Monks. I have learned so much from your teachings. Your variations on silkreeling helped me really understand how the bagua could be abd should be a part of my personal mandalas. "What to do when you make a mistake?" My elemental forms "Heaven, Earth and Thunder" is based on finding my mistakes and perfecting them. Please look at them on my channel. You are a parof the journey that inspired me to find them. You are a true Western Master.

i dont understand how other people can relate or recognise the beauty unless they appreciate the vid explaning what it is, i recognise its a good idea and the photos capture/mimic the energy flowing from and around you. but you should evolve or advance this, reasons are today photograpy is no major skill and and kid can move lights take a pic and photoshop it. you must show photos with you in them if not basicaly its a composed/posed photo of torches moving. nobody is gona see it as a mandala

Thank you so much for sharing your life and work with everyone. I am certain it will be of great benefit for thousands of people, especially the art works. People need inspiration. I have studied Kung Fu for most of my life (fat and lazy now though) but I remember my master telling me, if you look at the markings your feet make in the sand they were chinese characters. You could put lights on the bottom of your feet , stand on a transparent sheet and film from below? Lama Rangbar Nyimai
