So to expand on what you were talking about on expansion valves the side of the block style expansion valve with the dish is always the post evaporator core side of the ac system?
The suction side of the evaporator coil (the large side) passes through the large side of block valve so that temperature will be measured for orifice control on the other side. of the valve and that suction side will always be on the dish end of the valve .
