The National Convention of Gospel Choirs and Choruses honors Evangelist Myrna Summers by awarding her the President's Award. Evangelist Summers, a wonderfully gifted singer, speaker and Minister of Music is celebrated in grand fashion by the musical tribute delivered by the Reid Temple Music Ministry.
The first time I saw Myrna live was a Sunday morning at Refreshing Springs COGIC. She was pregnant with twins. She played the piano, led a song, and directed the 80 - 90 voice choir with just her eyes - she never lifted her hands from the piano keys. Now, THAT'S a talent from God Himself! God bless you Myrna. (smile)
I'm SO GLAD. It's ABOUT TIME we started honoring her.. Well Deserved!
I had the opportunity of having lunch with Myrna in Nashville over 20+ years ago after a concert, never shall forget what a awesomely talent lady she was but still so awesomely humble with the light of God shining from her heart, ''hats off to her''!
Thank you so much for posting this. I haven't heard anything from Murna Summers in a while. She is definitely anointed and appointed by the Most High. I love God's ministry in her.

Ww.. What a blessing to see this.. Not only did she minister in song.. But she riveted my spirit with the words she said.. God preserves his people from her mother on down.. What a blessed family..
My All time Favorite Singer! Washingtons' Finest!
This was such a joy to watch and reflect upon. It took my mind back to the times we would travel with her and enjoy her ministry. From watching this video, I can see how much richer her ministry is and all I could do was smile and cry. I was blessed to be taught by her at Refreshing Spring. What you all see is exactly how she is: serious about souls. But, she makes you enjoy singing about your Savior too. By the way, if you think she can sing, you should hear her preach! Makes you want to throw a brick at her! LOL
AN AMAZING,ANOINTED WOMAN OF GOD!! I WISH SHE WAS ON THE ROAD AGAIN SO SHE COULD STOP BY IN ATLANTA GA AND SHARE THAT GIFT WITH US AGAIN,... TO SEE HER DIRECT WITH THE SPIRIT JUST KEEPS ME WITH MY MOUTH OPEN AND A BIG FAT GRIN ON MY FACE,(LOL)
