I've owned an SL-DL1 from new, still have the original box.
The Technics cartridge has been retired & replaced with an Ortofon OMP-10.

I have a SL-5, SL-J11D 😂and a non functional SL-7 😢. Got a few T4P cartridges to switch from but would like to acquire a Stanton or Pickering and better yet a Shure. Grado, Ortofon & AT all works well on those linear tracking tone arm

Hello, the TECHNICS SL-10 is mounted with a rare and very special head and stylus :
The TECHNICS EPC-P310MC
Plug-in connector type MC cartridge that uses pure boron pipe cantilever.
By adopting the original pure boron pipe cantilever, the effective mass of the vibrator of 0.23 mg is obtained, and the high resonance frequencies are excluded from the range of audibility to extend the reproduction high range limit.
A unique coreless twin-ring coil structure has been adopted for the power generation system. Since the structure has no iron core, it is not affected by iron or other magnetic materials, preventing magnetic loss and distortion.
This MC cartridge is just at another level.
I guess today for that quality, on a new cartridge it would cost between 2000 and 4000€. Thanks for watching and REMEMBER !
