You do realize Joseph, that you're criticizing the student of Egon Petri who was a student of Busoni (considered on of the world's greatest pianists)! If Nenov didn't understand piano music and had something important to say then who did? If that's not enough he was professor at the prestigious Sofia Conservatoire and taught Genko Genov and Lazar Nikolov! We're talking piano elitists! This "contemporary music", is the voice of our generation. It may not please your ears as the romantic dribble of the past century, but it's significance, importance and power are crucial to this world! It's not suppose to be "pretty" because it tells the human story, which has never been "pretty'! Most of all, it literally is our musical legacy!
You do realize, Mike, that people who won't tolerate dissenting views are known as totalitarians? And, yes, I know about Petri and Busoni, thanks; I'm a piano 'anorak', but who they were is surely irrelevant. Music must be judged on its own merits; and everyone is entitled to like it or not. Art is not politics. We can agree to differ.
@@nadezhdayotzova5318 Wow! You're right. Thanks for the tip. However, it's too obviously indebted to the Prokofiev, with all kinds of things pinched from that piece.
Благодарни сме за Българските държавни железници, които той ни е дал, а те се опитват да ни откраднат.
Listening to this music is more pain than pleasure, I'm afraid, but thanks for posting.

It is hard to listen to this performance, I agree with you. Nenov's music can't be that square and heavy :)
A different league here in both composition and performance: ua-cam.com/video/Q7XmF73f1NY/v-deo.html
