Mali has the richest architecture in the Western half of the Sub Saharan Africa (east are Ethiopia and Sudan).
And in general, I believe its landscapes having a positive energy with all those beautiful ancient constructions here and there!!! But we are in the wrong era!!! 😢

There's nothing to pity him/ her about ,Mali is like any African or Western country for that matter facing some challenges .I have been there twice and nothing happened to me .I was treated very well by Malians on both my visits there.Both in Bamako and some villages around there. I had a lot of people who were trying to convince me otherwise like you ,thank God I listened to my gut and decided to go ahead.
To be honest with you ,I have no single regret and I will continue to visit that country anytime i find chance
