Dan I have backdraft too and without a tag I gave Reggie’s Brown Eyed girl that name you may still be correct there are so many similarities🤦♀️. If you live locally you woukd be welcome to stroll through when in bloom🌞
@gardeningonthewestforkwith8994 I appreciate that very much but I live right in the middle of Alabama. Believe me I would take up that offer if I lived closer. WE would be talking daylilies all day long !lol
So bearable as always Teresa! All lilies are amazing this year in my garden too. I just sent Amber about 100 pics of them yesterday lol. My oriental/asiatic are stunning.
Teresa I love you garden and the day lillies, there are no words. Maybe stunning. I only have two and love them, but you’re inspired me to order lots more and put a boarder in my front garden. 🇦🇺 cheers Bronwyn
What pretty colors. I have some day lilies that my Mom had planted. If I take a picture of them can you help me to identify the names of those plants? I have no idea what they are called. Your flowers are breath taking.
@@PeggyMills that is dads best purple a gift from a friend. I’ve never looked it up on any sites to see if it can be purchased. It’s a good producer and lots of blooms.
Beth throughout my years of exploring daylilly farms and recent catalogues I agree names change with whomever buys the farm . I’m not sure why or if it’s bred a bit differently . You are probably correct with the name Fooled Me even if it differed from what it was called when I purchased mine. So looking forward to their blooms so the sunny warm days ahead here in WV should push hellebore and snowdrops 😎🤞what a morale boost! Where do you garden?
@@gardeningonthewestforkwith8994 Well, I started out gardening in Chattanooga TN Zone 7A/7B in the mid 2000s, and I purchased all my daylilies from Oakes Daylilies and Fooled Me is one that I purchased from them. Now I live in Temple TX Zone 8A/8B, and it is a little more challenging with the hotter drier summers and clay soil. I was not able to move my dayliles with me because in the warmer climate that I now live I can only have Evergreen to Sem-Evergreen daylilies. Thanks so much for asking. love your lnadscaping and your daylilies!!!
@@bethjones6104 goodness definitely warmer climate than here in wonderful WV although I’ve seen the change of seasons in my almost f 50 years of gardening 😉 learning to adjust our plantings and how to keep what we have thriving is the fun right??? I will use Fooled me when she blooms and think of Beth Jones. Thanks stay in touch do you have a channel love to see your gardens. Janna here in WV USA our daylillies don’t start blooming until June usuall through summer. Where do you live it’s probably just a bit soon although the Stella Dora are showing bloom spikes and bloom a bit earlier. What variety did you plant? ☺️I promise you will see blooms🙏🏻👩🌾
Nice outfit 😉 I have a Daylily my mom planted probably in the early to mid 80's, I don't know it's name, but wow is it beautiful, and the scent is intoxicating. Funny til you mentioned 11 days from 1 stem, I'd never thought about it like that. I'd love one of your divisions, wish I lived closer. I saved this one to my flowers file, I'll go back for the names one day. @@gardeningonthewestforkwith8994 I live in north Dakota. Just transforming my garden and came across your video. It inspired me. Thank you. It's hard to find good quality lillies. Mainly Walmart stuff. Ideas?
@ChristopherB.1976 mine came from a daylilly farm about 45 mins away who was a collector it was amazing. I agree local garden centers don’t have varieties . I don’t ship shoot ! But take a trip 💃🏻
@ChristopherB.1976 just found a daylilly farm Oakes Daylillies Google them also on UA-cam they have a video on their daylily festival end of June. They have a catalogue. I’m not familiar with this farm but wow 1,000 varieties I’ve not gone to their website . Check it out or even better go to the event they sell them and most are in bloom it reminds me of the two farms (but better and bigger) we had close to us!!
Matt is one of my favorites too!
