just to note, Mordred is kinda average, maybe even slightly below average by Awk standards when Strikers/C.O's are not involved as her General kit is extremely lackluster. You see Bullet using Britra DPS instead of CDR because her Abilities were pretty unimpactful that you're better off just going Basic Attack DPS. Her Special without a C.O is basically just a 2 Valid Hit Basic Attack and her Ult is alright, but not enough to carry her entire kit. As for how unimpactful she can be, there are cases where Titan would get sniped, but because she can't break through Defenders or Jisoo, the game would just go back into neutral as if nothing happened. Sometimes even losing the game as Titan just get's redeployed, sits behind their Defender out of Mordred's Range and can't be sniped anymore. It's to the point that Agnes could do just as good or better of a job objectively, considering there was a 3min game where a Lily was sleeping the entire backline except Mordred, yet Agnes was just slightly behind on damage despite sleeping for more than half the game (110k Mordred VS 83k Agnes). Heck, the other person was also using Mordred as main DPS and she couldn't push through Bullet's Chulsoo + Jisoo, causing Bullet to win since Agnes Ult would poke ship and Aries Barrier blocked Lily. She's not really a unit you'd want to pick as Main Carry unless you know for sure there will be Non-Titan Strikers and even then, it's possible to outplay Mordred such as some cases where ppl dropped their Defender ahead of their Striker, causing Mordred to stop just slightly out of range of the Striker. This forces Mordred to either Overextend or be deployed late to pull the line to get her benefit.
you know the game have been Striker-heavy for a while, every one running striker here and striker there. Mordred is 5 costs unit, so the feeling "average" is justified. you only used Titan as example tho. as Titan eventually has to move forward. and about Agnes, you may be right Agnes does more damage, however she can't pick on Striker like Mordred. The thing with "drop their Defender ahead of their Striker" only works if you know the opponent has Mordred. but even if you they know about it, more or less they will have to deploy striker anyway.

Mordred has to either naturally pull the line or overextend if she really wants to catch Strikers End of the day, my point is, she's not Generally usable compared to a lot of other picks which is an important factor if she's built to deal with Dino as Lurcher's are never played as a Meta comp. Are you going to run Mordred for the 1 in 20 chance that the enemy is running a Striker, much less a Lurcher? Is she a unit that is playable? Yes. Would you pick her over other units? Probably no. Heck, even Alice is applicable to an extent for the same role as she is extremely bursty against any Frontline and is also 5C. Mavka is the perfect mirror case here, Anti-Defender Niche VS Anti-Striker Niche. Mavka is terrible against anything not a Defender yet why is she considered really good and is used so much? Because you know that she's applicable 99% of the time since nobody plays without a Defender and her General Performance still has impact. (Her Ult reach is capable of sniping even Snipers as it's nearly screenwide, Sure Fire significantly increases her DPS)
