Shows ALL likes, comments, tags, reviews, etc. just tried this 20 seconds ago with the latest version of insta on iPhone.

It literally doesn't show my notifications from yesterday due to the fact I've received more than 20 since then. That's why I came to this video and this man did nothing to answer my question. Instagram just doesn't support notification viewing when you have too many

No mention of the activity history? That’s a great way to go back far and see interactions which would have given you notifications.
Just go to settings -> your activity -> interactions.

My notifications only go back one day. It's really annoying. I can't see anything from two days ago or three or four, or older.
My oldest notification is the same day.. do you know how I can change that?

I used to get notifications going back several weeks- I loved it. Just last week, it switched to only same day, as far as I can tell there is no way to get it back. It is outrageous-- our "premium" apps in the modern day are really poorly managed and bloated by features-- they are chasing investor dollars first, and user experience second.

I keep seeing the comment notification icon but I only ever see 3 notifications at a time before the suggestions. 3 people have liked a comment within in the last 30 minutes and can't even find something from when I was asleep.
