  • When you have to get a drywall patch completed in a very short time, consider USG Easy Sand 5.
Pros - fast drying time, powder form, lightweight and easy to carry, stores longer than premix.
Cons - softer than premixed joint compound, not the best final coat product because it may have lumps

I enjoy watching your video, I get to see what I grew up on, that drill. Looks like an old black and decker or maybe skil..

I have been through some drills, some with cords, some with batteries. Some just disappear over time, but I do prefer a drill with a cord over cordless

The same thing happened to me but I just made an access door instead so that in case anything ever happens then you would just pop open the door to see if there's a problem.

there was an access panel in the closet wall butting up against the tub valves. This patch was a dining room ceiling

Maestro! gunna borrow your filling on the inside and outside technique. In Australia we call that a steel float (you ever heard of that term?). De Walt or Milwaukee should put out a cordless blow dryer and give it to you for Christmas. Thankyou sir

That spot will never get built up if you keep skimming the entire patch. Just build up the low spot then skim it to blend.

My goal was to get it done in 1 hour. I always build up the tape and then fill

The thing is when water sits on the inside of the drywall for a long time it basically breaks down and becomes brittle, like cancer, just cut it out so the patch does not fail
