  • The IColor 1-Step Hard Surface Transfer Paper is an easy to use, weed-free all-in-one paper for use with hard surfaces.
Print and press onto ceramic, glass, wood, metal, acrylics, and more, thanks to the adjustable white overprint layer when printing from the IColor TransferRIP software.
The IColor 1-Step Hard Surface Transfer Media does not require coated substrates as sublimation does.
Press onto virtually anything, even dark substrates! The result is a vivid, long-lasting image. In this video, we cover pressing to ceramic mugs, metal, and wood.

I think my prorip software is different. Maybe mine is the updated version because it does not look anything like this. If there is an updated version (I have icolor 560) can you please post a tutorial for which settings to use for classic hard surface.

The software in this instructional is for TransferRIP, today most printers ship with the updated ProRIP software but the use of the paper is exactly the same once printed.

Why does Uninet make their papers so thick and difficult to remove from the final step? It's like sheer anxiety for me to make sure I pull the paper off just right.. Makes me want to stick to the transfer papers that you don't need to remove after pressing 😑

Do you have to use certain mugs & put a clear coat on them. I got mugs from hobby lobby & after I press them & heat them in the oven, the ink can easily be scratched off? Do I need to add a clear coat over the ink?

This is not waterslide paper but rather hard surface paper that is applied with a heat press.

I have the 560 and I'm looking for coffee cups and other blanks in bulk to print on. They all seem to be for sublimation and have a special coating for this process. I assume this transfer paper wouldn't work on these but wanted to ask for your input. Thanks.

Actually most sublimation coated surfaces will also work with heat transfer but this is something you would need to test out. For sure, sublimation mugs work great!

what are approximate costs for materials/labor, or at least average time of complete production for 1 item? seems like an involved process with multiple steps. thanks!

It actually takes no time at all once you've tried it a couple of times! If you email sales@icolorprint.com they can talk to you about the specific details such as cost of materials and average production time.
