Where did our Church fathers of this day get it from? I asked myself one honest question when the tithe debate began on social media: how else will the gospel be funded? What you mentioned here is very very POWERFUL and relevant. Jesus never collected tithe neither would anyone pay tithe to him for he was not a levite...but the work of God was still funded. The Apostles never collected tithe neither were they qualified because they were not levites. After the death and resurrection, the church was born to which the Apostles belonged but oddly the high priest and the priests maintained office and they ministered to the jews (were tithes were collected). Tithing is Jewish practice and has nothing to do with the church.
He was already successful in ministry and was willing to let it all go, just to stand for what he believed to be true. Paul says I consider all things to be mere rubbish for the benefit of the excellence of the knowledge of christ Jesus. Why I find him interesting.🙏

That is the problem of preaching errors, it is easy to feed people with it but to make people live right after the errors becomes a problem. Those days those who don't preach prosperity was called names. Heaven will decide each person's influence while on the pulpit.
