- On The Urban Debate With Faye D'souza, tonight, Colonel Lalit Rai, the Commanding Officer of the first battalion of Kargil of Gurkha Rifles in talk with Faye D'souza, he explains where exactly he started as he was appointed as a Commanding Officer during the time of war which was pretty unusual as the need arrived and he stepped in very well. He knew no one from the Battalion. He claims Gurkha Battalion is the best in the world as he led the young blood to victory over Pakistanis. Meena Nair the mother of Captain Anuj Nair who died in Kargil only at the age of 24 was awarded Maha Vir Chakra. The Proud mother also shares her view on the times.

Colonel you said even after 20 years people are still interested about Kargil war and your bravery. I saw your presentations in many places 20 :over times and I will see again and again periodically to remember your valour and your men. The nation will be grateful to you for ever. So difficult to understand. In one of your lectures you mentioned what is motivation in corporate sector and in battle. Colonel tremendous contribution. Hats off. Enjoy your retired life.
