When I saw Luna I teared up. I love her! She was my inspiration to adopt a Chihuahua I named Lucy. We lost her to cancer in June. She was so young, only 7. We shared 6 wonderful years. If it weren’t for sweet Luna, I may have never thought of adopting a Chi. 💗🐶
I was beginning to think she gave that pretty Ms. Luna away. It was nice to see her there.

totally agree with you about some people wanting to take away other’s holiday happiness, i feel like you do you!! you seem like such a positive strong force and i would hate to think people are trying to say that could ever be a bad thing?? my husband and i put up our tree on the first weekend of november!! who cares!! it makes us happy :)

It's never "too early" to do the things you love. Life's too short for that. I hate Christmas, but would never tell anyone THEY shouldn't enjoy it. Christmas stuff clearly brings you joy, and I'm sure it's extra-special now that you get to share it with lovely Lucy. Your videos are always a treat, even the Christmas ones! I would never miss any of that "beautiful bean footage," no matter how "early" you post. I look forward to seeing your Evelyn collection, and think it's awesome that you have multiple trees and are so thoughtful about decorating each one; love your style, and agree about those lights being all wrong! Something about us November/December birthday girlies makes us obsessed with Christmas lol. The way I see decorating early for Christmas is that Christmas is a SEASON, thanksgiving is a wonderful holiday but it’s just a day and having Christmas decor up makes it all the more special. And I will fight this point to death.

I had the same feeling about the Target rug! I bought two! ❤🩷💚 Also, I think we reach a certain age and suddenly tablecloths are attractive to us. It’s that fine dining/grandmas table aesthetic crossover that does it for me!
Moms really do make the magic. When my kids were growing up, we decorated for Christmas the Saturday after thanksgiving and we did it with hot cocoa and Christmas music. That’s a core memory for my kids and I love that they have that.
ABC always airs the Sound of Music the weekend before Christmas, it’s tradition. I think that’s why so many Americans 1. Have seen at least a part of the movie 2. Associate it with Christmas 🥰

I am in charge of the decorating for my church. The team and I did the Christmas decorating the week before Thanksgiving so everyone could have more time to enjoy the decorations. Most people in the church loved the idea of Christmas decor going up early. ❤🎄💚

Aww, I still have my cheese cloth ghosts, a little dented but they are still one of my favorites! Oh yay, more Evelyns!! The trees look gorgeous! Mine is sitting in the corner waiting for extra lights (most of the ones on the tree are out on mine too!). In between concerts and going to the movies I am determined to get our house fully Christmasized this weekend! Have a good one.

I needed this. Going through kind of a break up. I got all my Christmas stuff out and then it happened. I've not felt the Christmas spirit. My Favorite Things was the song my mom would sing to me when I woke up in the middle of the night scared. In the middle of the song she would tell me to list all my favorite things and then I didn't feel so bad. 😊

I put my tree up very early. I work really hard making my ornaments and putting them on the tree, so yes I am going to put it up early and enjoy every moment looking at it. Can't wait to see Lucys reaction to your tree.

This year my focus is on using the things I have- I tend to save the “pretty makeup” or the “fancy skincare” or not carry my higher end bags because I’m saving them. Gotta cut it out. This year I’m using products up and getting the wear out of my bags 😊
And not buying more of a makeup/skincare item until I have none of that particular item left in my stash. 🎉

The one thing I inherited (and wanted) from my grandparents was all their Christmas decor. I am also an early Christmas person, just work from home so I like to have the joy of Christmas early.

I would like to say that watching your videos always feel so wholesome to me! My mom is also a Texas mama through and through (we’re from Austin), and so many of our traditions are similar. Our moms have so many similarities, and now that I’m also a mom it’s so neat to see how you’re intentionally setting new traditions for your family! I love the idea of Frito Pie on Halloween and will definitely be stealing it!
I finally got a chance to sit down and watch your holiday decorating video. I too love Christmas, but have yet to put up my own decorations yet. At this point in my life, I have so many items to choose from that I don't put them all out. Certain items are just special though, and it wouldn't feel like Christmas without them. 🤗

I absolutely adore your style of decorating. I love the vintage. I've been scouring my vintage stores looking for ornaments and home decor but don't really find much. Sometimes I can get lucky and find things that LOOK vintage but aren't. my style is vintage and nature/Yule themed.
I was feeling kinda low and just watching this video of your excitement has made feel so much better. This weekend I am definitely going to put up our tree and decorate it. OMG Thank you for addressing the people who criticize others for "decorating too early." Why can't everyone just stay in their lane, mind their own business, and not be a buzzkill? Sometimes, people "Need a little Christmas, right this very minute."
Personally, I like to have most of my decorations up by Thanksgiving. It's called the Holiday SEASON for a reason! Plus, I love looking at the decorations while celebrating Thanksgiving with my family. The decorations make me so happy, and I like to enjoy them throughout the holidays rather than scrambling during an already busy month trying to get everything done.

Loved the video. I buy pretty gift boxes from Marshall’s, TJ Maxx, etc that look like gifts and place those in front of any wires or outlets that show. Reuse them year after year.

When you live in the north of Norway and it is dark all day and night beacause the sun is away for 1-3 months, the christmas decorations and light must be up as early as possible! And looking at you decorate is so nice!! It looks so good❣️You have so much nice decorating pieces🤩
