Interns don’t administer meds. This show, like so many other medical dramas, diminishes the role of nurses in almost every episode. I still watch it and love it, don’t get me wrong, but they miss the mark on a ton of things.
sure let's put extras into the show, and sky rocket production costs. Do you honestly think we watch because we want a real representation of how a hospital truly is? Where every doctor and intern is attractive as hell and they all sleep with each other? It's called suspension of belief. It works.
Raymond Wildeman Certainly not. I don’t think anybody watches a drama series to be informed about how a hospital is really run. However, I have been an RN for several years and you would be surprised how misinformed people are about what the role of a nurse actually entails, many members of the general public simply belief what they are shown on tv even if their intention while watching wasn’t necessarily to be educated. Media representation is a lot more powerful than people think so those who are less informed than you or I really do have a skewed idea about who does what in a hospital setting simply because they don’t think to question what they are shown on TV. It’s not just Grey’s, either. The vast majority of dramas are highly inaccurate when it comes to portrayal of real professions and therefore people have unrealistic expectations of the people who fill those roles in real life. The issue is, very few people will find themselves face to face with a high stakes trial lawyer or a hardened inner city detective so their poorly informed opinions of these individuals will likely never impact how they relate to these professionals in real life. Almost everybody, however, will require the services of a doctor or nurse over the course of their lifetime and thus the misrepresentation they have been exposed to on the TV is much more likely to impact what they expect of these people when interacting with them. When I am told I am an “assistant” to a doctor or a patient’s family member wonders why their loved one didn’t wake right up after coding and a few rounds of CPR, I can’t help but wonder if it’s because this is the image of medicine they are exposed to on television.
Raymond Wildeman Also I have worked with some pretty funny looking interns, I certainly hope nobody believes that part is true in real life because they will be sorely disappointed!
oh please they already have hired all those extras that portray nurses and orderlies and visitors etc. It wouldn't hurt to be more accurate. Besides there was a medical show that has been found to be the most accurate, SCRUBS! And it was very successful
wait what? you think scrubs was very successful? you have a pretty low standard for success then. scrubs 10 seasons. Grey's anatomy 14 and counting.. I don't know what planet you're from but here in reality 14 is greater than 10.
I love this show, and I loved George, but as an operating room nurse, I’ve got to ask, why the hell is there a shelf of surgical sutures in a patient room?
@@michaelhuynh4953 I suppose the comment was supposed to express that Dr Yang as a character is someone you would like to it have to impress if she is your boss. I don't think it was about both of you being Asian.

Lexie with pigtails looks like Andie McPhee (Meredith Monroe) from Dawson’s creek :(
George was a really great character and a good doctor! He shouldn't have been killed off.
Lexie era puro amor
Don't worry George you'll see him quicker than you think.

Lexie and George in season 4 was so cute.

Lol Yang was so mean to Lexie her intern year
is the guy playing the grieving dad the one that plays the head surgeon in series The Resident?
Ntinos MD no that‘s not Dr. Bell :)
lexie and george have one thing in common
So Dr Lexie finds out that Dr Yang is screwing with her, so she IMMEDIATELY regrets her costume!? That was her only reason for wearing it!?
She wanted to make a good impression
And it’s not “dr Lexie” it’s Dr. Grey
I mean have you met dr yang-
