This was a wild game. I respect what Susan did here- if your Ride or Die betrays you, there has to be real "Die" consequences. Too bad for Empyrean who made such a sweet play.
1:25:25 - I uSeD sPeCiFiC wOrDs. Schroeder is so full of shit. Sure, he may not have technically violated the agreement, but he deliberately misled Random in order to lull them into a false sense of security, just so they could take everything from them. So what, they're not a liar, just a con man? Good for you, buddy. You're a pillar of honesty and goodness. It's a social game. Lying and betrayal are all part of it - own that shit. Don't try and bullshit about how you're technically holding to the deal. Admit what you did. You actually come across as more untrustworthy for trying to justify yourself...
In games irl, this generally means nobody ever trusts you ever in the future. (I once did a deals are nonbinding into attacking, ask me how I know lol)
5:22:10 - Honestly, I like the fact you can't reveal Agenda cards, and wish Secret Objectives worked in the same way. Having to potentially rely on the honesty of your neighbour about their SO is so much more tense and interesting. The circlejerk situations where two or more players reveal their SO's and mutually allow each other to score with perfect knowledge are kinda gross, too. I'm ok with players working together, but removing the tension of not knowing if your partner is being honest undercuts the drama and makes it a less interesting game. I'm here for a dramatic space opera, not a spreadsheet competition...
It just seems like the game would be much much funner if people just played the game to the best of their ability, rather than all this talking and promising crap. A good game if played correctly though.
