This hero could fix the Bonnie defense issues! Callan, Bonnie, Satrana, Talene and Ludovic can't be nuked by Eironn's opening ult because of his shield while having enough CC to be a pest against other comps.
@@PuzzleAFKJ The best part is that since Eironn is melee he'll never get a second Ult out, he'll be vaporized by the damage Callan shield will redirect once it finishes.
One big question is: About Callan's absorbing damage mechanic - is it able to absorb Bonnie's DoT dmg? If he can. He can somehow negate/block/prevent Bonnie from sapping your team's hp away. Because he can absorb dmg for all the allies within his range. And this is very crucial cause he would be direct counter to Bonnie. So. Is he able to do that or not?
You are really good at breaking down value of thos character just through a trailer video. I wonder if it's the beard of wisdom that give you that ability.
he would probably be a good companion to the likes of Mikola, Sinbad, and Shakir. with his speed shown in the trailer, he's likely to do well for Carolina and Cecia
Definitely would be good with other melee heroes who need survival, like mikola, sinbad, shakir, sonja, even ulmus/eironn I could see being good with him
i wonder if lily may stops his shield right at the start, if so that is a big downfall. could also work really well with dionel or a little more aggressive with nara and silvina.
Well...the problem with him is that he counters Eironn/Ulmus/Arden comp but still semms like being weak to Tasi/Bonnie/Talene/Damian comp and IMO that 4 constant dmg constant revival team-up is even more problematic then Eironn burst in normal arena. Might be a decent pick in 3 stage supreme, but looks skipable (reminder that Luca was considered a good pvp hero on reveal).
There is a problem with his shield no? Lyca is in pvp in Dundun, Dionel team. Lyca Ex weapon(+15) can break shield every 10 sec and stun him after breaking shield. So he became useless😅. Or maube im wrong. Need test.

Pure tank in afkj, really not popular. Unless, he's super OP, but I don't think he is. He's like antandra (slow yet tanky) + thoran (I don't know when absorb damage, can he be killed or taken damage?) But I think he's a good unit to pull when he's at standard banner (since there's no other great unit) I think he is compatible with assassin type like sylvina And lily may counter since he's in the front most position And paired with melee unit will be great, like mikola and shakir, or even harak 😭
Although he is not out yet, but would it be possible to team with Throan, so the team could be like Callan, Valka, (Shakir / Throan / Phraesto / Mikola) (but I don't know will that damage absorption makes Throan's reflect damage lower or they could both gonna reflect a high damage) (maybe no Throan?)
We have to wait for numbers and testing. He is a purely PvP hero from his kit, so no matter what he probably won't be must pull or anything. Also always best to wait for all A levels to be released in the season before changing.
I like thoran because he is permanently soul pacted to one ally and he has revives. I am worried about callan ending in an awkward position, and also need to see how much is the damage reduction actually. So far I still think thoran is better in PvP, but let's see
I've seen some leaks - it seems like the pre-release version of the hero had 50% damage reduction multipliers. We'll see, i guess Actually he feels like solid A-level type of hero how it should be - not like insane S-like type how Bonnie was

Definitely will be insane for afk pushing, so much aoe stuns and control, while simultaniously defending his "weak" defence allies
