The coolest part about Bedivere? He had no divine blood or weapons, no half-fairy heritage, no special weapons or blessings or anything. He was just a really good Knight. He was the Normal one on the Round Table. He kept Artoria on the right path by virtue of being the Confidant and Friend she needed. He was her unshakable, reliable companion and was the main thing keeping her from turning into something like the Lion King. For extra points, in the old myths, bro was one-armed and could *still* go Toe-to-Toe with the other Knights through sheer technical skill.
In Welsh Triads (such as Culhwch and Olwen), Bedivere is descrbed as a better warrior than Cei/Kay and Drystan/Tristan. The most common epithets given to him are "of the perfect sinew" and "the battle-diademed". The fact that FGO's enemy "Archer" Tristan actually takes double damage from sabers, such as Bedivere, is either an easter egg, or a coincidence.
I just... I want to hug him. Hes literally one of my favorites and that before I learned anything about him in the actual story because he's just so Good. My heart aches looking at all of them.
@@shotsarelost7884 he's walking to return Excalibur to saber. Him turning to stone is because he has no more life force to stay alive I believe, I believe Excalibur kept him alive or something along those lines. Look it up on his wiki you'll find it probably.

He's the only Normal one (no divinity, superpowers or magic swords).
Even in his " treachery" - he is the King's most loyal knight.
