I got this guitar back from Charlie after the work he mentions in this video and it plays and sounds like a dream. Charlie has worked on all my guitars and each one comes back transformed. He's a real wizard.
Glad it could be of help. That is why it is there. Hopefully you will find more useful things on this channel. Thanks for watching and commenting. I appreciate it.
THanks! This was something I needed. Got electromatic's jack crushed inside the body and have no money to pay for repairs. So with this video I am good to go! :) Or somewhere there.
It is just an old plug from a discarded guitar cable, with the contacts cut off, the threads ground off and an 42 gauge string soldered into the rivet for the positive connection.
Sawing up a 335! lmao well it was grandpas and he gave it to me or it was my dads second guitar and it was setting around well hell i want to fix it as they look for the saw and drill with a 10k pot they pulled out of an old radio with their teeth hanging out. Then play keep your hands to yourself with a bunch of distortion.
Absolutely brilliant, I will use this method from now on, thanks for posting the video.
Glad it was helpful! I came up with this a LOOOOG time ago.

Glad you liked it! It is amazing how many tools I have stashed around.

Nice! I love your 1/4" jack device. I have been using a cheap cable that I sanded down but your idea is more elegant.
Glad you like it!
How did you make the cable with the jack plug at the end?

+Guitar C.P.R. Great idea. Thanks for sharing, Charlie!
What is the mathematical ratio for a guitar to be semi-hollow vs semi-solid? Numbers matter!
Good question, I have no idea. I thought you would know.....
Thank You Very Much Sir.
