I, for one, am happy that fountain pens are making somewhat of a comeback. While it might not ever become popular in the mainstream, I'm glad that the fountain pen is being introduced to new generations of people and hasn't gone the way of the buggy whip. Dip pens are also cool, but obviously they don't pass muster for EDC. I appreciate both new and old technologies, enjoying what each brings to the table. Ballpoint pens are great! They are functional and some write extremely well. But if you want your writing to "come alive", you can't beat a nib. And yes, they take time to master, but isn't that part of the fun? Some can't be bothered, for they see writing implements as simply a means to an end. To them, pens, pencils, etc., are utilitarian. Some recognize there's more to it than that. Or can be. And for them, fountain pens are a means of expression. So glad we have such an abundance of options!
As a guy who buys his stuff and uses it longer than a two week review process, you can’t beat the Zebra F-701. It’s $9.00 on a bad day for a pen every bit as “EDC’able” as any of these. It has a “click top” for those of you who can’t sit still for longer than two minutes. Plus, I still have $30.00 to $140.00 in my pocket for things like “EDC paper” or “EDC whiteout” to go with my EDC pen
Pens do “ breakdown “. Ball points jam, ink dries or runs out , or will not write on a surface. Maintaining the tool and proper use is the key to any tool.
Assegai Bolt Action seems like the winner. Added to the wish list!

Want the ep1 something bad. Maybe one day. The ab pen sounds interesting
Was expecting it to be more. Awesome video.
Both are great pens!

I don't like the threaded tips on these, I want a solid one piece barrel where the end opens and no threads.
